Morning all. Well, that was an eventful weekend. We've been without power since Friday - no heating, no lights, no shops, no pubs, just a little gas fire to keep warm! We've got off lightly - all we have lost is a fridge freezer full of food. Friends of mine have had their houses flooded, and businesses and villages I go to regularly in the Lake District have been decimated. 300 year-old bridges have been swept away, roads collapsed, livestock drowned... all very sad.
Anyway, we have power again (probably temporarily), but no internet at home for whatever reason, so I can't update for November quite yet. Keep it up everybody, I look forward to having a catch up!0 -

We did get flooded last weekend (mid-Wales/Shropshire border) when the river burst in front and behind our property, and have been living upstairs for a weekWe had thigh-high water which was very scary and the whole ground floor is ruined. Loss adjuster says 6-12 months of restoration and renovation work to look forward to and currently waiting for a static caravan to be organised. What on Earth is going on with the weather?!?

Oh no! So sorry to hear that, that sounds like a nightmare. Hope you're not too fed up, and that everybody is rallying around each other. I agree regarding the weather, it seems to be happening more and more these days.0 -

£150 paid today to my Tesco card, yay! So £750 paid since the beginning of November - out of £3750 total target. Those NSD days paid off
So that leaves me with £3K more to pay this month (that's a large chunk of my annual bonus, sadly)... This should wipe out my MBNA debt leaving me with £8.5K debt in my Tesco card - which I'm hoping to clear by the end of 2016 (I keep repeating myself over and over but it helps refocusing he he). I can't wait for pay day, believe it's on the 24th this month.current CC debt: £11,500 at 0%
