Firstly, I am SO sorry for being AWOL for most of the year. Life with 3 children is busier than I could ever have imagined :rotfl::rotfl:
The bad news is we are a bit lower total-wise than we were in MArch
but the good news is now it's only under by a few hundred pounds. We should be able to do a bit better by xmas so I'll update our total after payday next week. All straight for next year and we still owe less than £40k which is brilliant as at the start of 2012 we owed £58k!!!
Thank you to Pablosammy for running the thread and Muppets for offering to run next year's :T:TDMP started Oct '17: £79,974 :eek::eek::eek::eek:0 -

I didn't mean to ignore this, somehow I didn't see it before posting the last few posts. Really sorry to hear what you're going through, my thoughts are with you - I can't imagine what it feels like. There's not much I can offer except kind words, so best wishes to you and your family.0 -
Significant news, people! My partner and I have had our mortgage application approved... paying off debts worked!!! Here's to a lifetime of mortgage slavery...

Well a great end to the year. A lovely cheque was received this morning for £1000 for flight delay compensation. I'll be paying it off my overdraft to reduce the monthly fees so will alter my signature shortly to reflect this#171

Hi All,
I'm pleased to share that I have the amount in my bank that is needed to clear the last of our debt :T:j:beer:.
Now the question I have for you all is, should I pay it off, or keep it in the bank? The debt is 0% until March 2017. I'd love to clear it to be debt free, and I'm scared about having it in the bank incase it's dipped into. But at the same time, I have no emergency fund yet and I'm due to go onto SMP at the beginning of May for 12 months...
Opinions welcome, please!- [STRIKE]Credit Card: £2,989 / £2,989[/STRIKE]
