  • Been a while since I updated in this thread, although I've kept my signature updated.

Was just checking my various accounts tonight, thought I'd get a loan settlement quote, and worked out I had enough in various account to actually close it off tonight.

So it's done. I'm now debt free.

  • Sorry, I forgot to say a massive thanks to those who ran this year's thread and last year's for the inspiration. Thanks so much for helping me along my journey.

In my state I forgot to post that. It just feels odd knowing that all the stupid debt I racked up in my 20s is gone. In my banking relationship with my main bank, for the first time in 10 years I owe them nothing. No overdraft debt, no credit card debt, no loan debt. All my money is mine to do as I please.

Well done gingerfurball. Awesome feeling isn't it.

I'm temporarily in debt again until we get our rental flat deposit back. Hoping for the next 2 weeks or I will start incurring interest charges on the debt.
