Had my MOT today - failed :( £176 to get it through MOT. Not killing me but really didn't need that the week I am about to complete on my new flat :(

That's a pain, Mat. Keep us updated on your flat though!

In other news... I've signed up for a bloody half marathon in October. I'm starting pretty much from scratch, so I've got some serious work to do between now and then!

I've had a bit of a set back too - car broke down last week costing £320 to repair! As I was driving over to where I broke down (obviously not knowing I was about to be stuck in the middle of nowhere!) I was thinking about how my MOT and service is due next month! So the money I had set aside for that has now gone towards the repairs - with the rest coming from my parents but I will clear that on payday. However, if there's anything wrong with my car on its MOT I'm probably going to have to go to the bank of mum and dad again! Grrr!

And well done for signing up to a half marathon Pablosammy! I've just signed up for tough mudder and also have some serious work to do by the end of September! I've registered for ParkRun today which is a weekly free 5km run to start my training, in case you wanted to see if there's one local to you.
    Debt as at 5 June 2023 - £15,600.89
    Current debt - £5,555.00
Total paid off - £10,045.89 (64% paid off)

I've seen a few friends do that sort of thing, looks messy but fun! I've got just about enough time to do Couch to 5k to get moving again, and then a 12 week beginner half marathon programme. I have run a bit before, but it's been a while - I'm hoping my body remembers a bit of its previous conditioning! :rotfl:

You'll be fine. I started doing 10km runs but when I signed up for a half marathon I didn't exercise very much. I lasted til the last mile and a half then died on my feet and walked the rest. Did it in 2hrs 10mins.

I kept seeing posts and web articles about Tesco Boost this week. So I thought I would log in and check out how much I have. Didn't realise I have £16 of vouchers. I'm going to quadruple up and take the missus out for a meal. £60 of vouchers for £15. Awesome.

That has brightened up my day from earlier with the MOT disaster.

£2.50 of my vouchers is worth £10 in restaurant vouchers. So I used £15 worth of my points to get £60 in vouchers.
