Woohoo! Go Skinnylatte! :TThanks Rachie. Seems it's been a blessing in disguise. Sellers pulled out completely on the sale of that flat, with or without our £3k extra.
We viewed another flat today and it's nicer, warmer, better location and we've had an offer accepted for £1k less than the offer on the original flat. There was a reason why we didn't get that flat and finding this new one was it.
Fingers crossed this one goes through. Feeling much more positive on this one as the sellers are buying a new build so no chain. They were quick to accept offer and even offered their sofa and table n chairs too.
Mat_Lock this is fab news! I'm with amr - everything happens for a reason! :jI was offered another role at my current company so I have taken that instead :j it is an extra £8.5k per annum which will be really helpful! :j
That's a definite win-win amr - end of March is looking up for loads of people here!mothernerd wrote: »I'm still not off the blocks but am trying hard...
You are all doing really well. just wanted to let you know I haven't given up, just getting there really slowly for now.
Keep plugging away mothernerd - it's great to have you here and we're all here to offer support and guidance (if it's needed) - just being here adds to the debt-free love and your message (which I shortened) was really inspiring - just reading how you're tackling not just your money but also overcoming your health challenges is admirable to us all here!
Thanks to all who congratulated me on my debt clearance - still feeling chuffed about it! Been onto HMRC for half an hour AGAIN today but FINALLY got my self-employment status sorted so should be able to get my invoice in during April - clear thess cc's!

Well done on clearing that huge credit card Wind of Change! I hope you enjoyed the celebration.
Mat Lock, glad to hear it may all have been for the best, I've been catching up on here and sounds like the other sellers were dodgy so I hope this all goes smoothly for you.
Well done everyone. The thread seems to be off to a great start this year. I'm still debt free and it has finally sunk in. I need to set some more plans in place to aim for but at the moment I'm most concerned not to go on a spree or anything!
Keep up all the good work!0 -

Hello All
I've been reading all about your ups and downs this month, thanks for keeping me going. Slow progress for me so mainly just minimums this month. But I'm hatching a plan that will come into force next month hopefully (an empty flat that i'm paying the mortgage on may be rented out so freeing up £500 a month).
Anyway, update for me...
