Some deliver, others you would need to drive to - look up by postcode, placename and state preferred radius
    you'll get *instant* results ;)

Hi Queenie...thanks, I had tried it before I posted. Unfortunately Big Barn has not heard of Newry, nor Belfast...nor any BT postcode I could remember, BT being the 1st 2 lettes of all N.Ireland postcodes. I suspect Big Barn has never heard of Ireland... But if Squeaky has a magic book that has a listing for Shetland, Orkney and Skye, then maybe..just maybe..us Paddies will be mentioned...:D

Sorry, I know they are endeavouring to up their database to incorporate as many (if not all) as poss. Send them an email and let them know that you are having a hard time finding any in N.I. ... it does seem rather odd that you shouldn't be represented!!! (Bloody maddening, in fact!) Still, if it's any comfort - and I'm sure it's not - the area I live in, may as well not exist either, as far as website's, modern methods blah blah blah! :(

Interestingly I just tried a google (UK) search on box scheme and a town name.

If you put the two in quotes exactly as written you should get some idea of schemes near you.

    Examples:

    "box scheme"+"Ipswich"

Gets you this page ---> Click Here

    "organic shop"+"Ipswich"

Gets you this page ---> Click Here

    "organic farm"+"Ipswich"

Gets you this page ---> Click here

Sqeaky - this is brill. Thanks

Could you see whether there is anything listed for Camberley in Surrey please?

    cheers

Edit by squeaky: Box scheme: Sunshine Organics, 2 Knowle Cottages, Knowle Lane, Cranleigh. GU6 8JL Tel 01483 268014

You might try Big Barn (listed just above us a bit), and also a google search as suggested just above too because they're more likely to be up to date than my book :)

    hi

i live in Orpington Kent, Bromley is close as is Bexleyheath and Welling-Kent.

    ...

Edit by squeaky: There's Box Schemes at Cobham, or Chartham, Godmersham, and Luddesdown. And organic shops at Canterbury and Sevenoaks. If any of these are close enough I can do the whole details for you.

Cheers for this, squeaky. Turns out I live quite near Penny-Pincher as I'm in Welling (probably both on the same bus route at least). The places here are the wrong part of Kent, really - the one based in Sevenoaks might just about get as far as Orpington, but all the others are miles away.

The suggestions another poster made for Greenwich and Bexley are more promising.

To be honest I'm not really sure a box delivery would suit my lifestyle (I prefer to nip into Borough Market, which is very near my office, or Blackheath farmers' market on way home from church on a Sunday). But Penny-Pincher - I'd be really interested to know if you have any luck with any of the recommended companies!

Further back up the thread are links to BigBarn and also a suggestion on how to phrase a google search in your own area to find a lot more, and more up to date!, suppliers and shops of organic goods in your area.

    HTH :)

Snowy Owl, THIS SITE has listings for four organic suppliers in Northern Ireland. They don't give any product listings though. But it might be woth giving them a call to see if they deliver or have outlet who they supply to. HTH
