    Morning all

I would like to join this thread from the less then 12 weeks thread please :)

I am 13 weeks today, and had our 12 week scan on Tuesday which went well. My first trimester wasn't too bad, I didn't suffer from sickness, but I do hope my energy levels start picking up soon!

    Thank you x

  • Waited in for a delivery from amazon. Excited to get our cot and put it up and have a look.
Until the delivery man dropped off my parcel.
    A sodding microwave.
I know I know nothing about being a parent but even I know the difference between a cot and a microwave.
So after I complained that I can’t lift it to take it to the post office to return it like they want me to (and will pay up to £4.75) of he return fee which I’m sure won’t be anywhere near enough.
They’re letting me keep it and refunding me.

I do find that amazon are quite flexible on their policy when they make a mistake. We bought a set of shelves for the garage, nothing exciting, but the box was damaged and one of the shelf bits had a chunk taken out of it. Got in touch with them to ask for a new shelf bit and they just said to keep it and they will send a whole new set out. It's purely cosmetic and seeing as it's in the garage I really don't mind the chunk missing!

I'm also in the not really feeling pregnant, just looking a bit podgy camp. I won a bundle of 2 jeans and 2 tops off eBay for £10 last week, but most of it wasn't any good unfortunately. My legs are too short and fat for super skinny jeans :( Got some from Asda online that are skinny, but have more give in them which is nice, but the Asda tops are definitely for later stages as they're huge around the bump area.

And welcome Lola! Glad your scan went well :)
  • Can you please add me to the list? My EDD is 10/2/19

That's good munchkin. Do you need a new microwave? You could sell it. When are you graduating this thread? (not that we want to get rid of you!).

  • Hi All,
So I've just realised that today I'm 26 weeks and should have graduated a few weeks ago! I hope you don't mind if I stick around for a bit?

Munchkin - I know it was a bit of a faff but at least you've got a free microwave, whether you need one or you sell it its a bit of a bonus.

As I'm also now looking particularly rounded my DH has taken to calling me 'Preggers', My BIL 'Tubby' and my brother 'Belly' - now I'm typing it out they sounds meaner than they come across and tehy're actually endearing. They're all being wonderfully supportive. Anyone else got a new pregnancy-related nickname?

  • I’m getting called ‘chubs’ or ‘preggo’ at work.
They’re all really looking after me.
Got a baby nutrition workshop tomorrow which will be nice, hopefully can meet some other soon to be mums.
Pretty sure I have carpal tunnel in both wrists. I’m in agony when I wake up with it. I’ll speak to the midwife next week.
