NelliePie - exactly! I thought I might be worried if she couldn't find the heartbeat, but he was so active I wasn't concerned at all
Selement - I was unsure for a week or two if I was feeling baby or..er...trapped wind or something. Somehow I didn't really believe it would be 'popping' sensations, but it really was! But now at 26wks Sproglet can kick hard enough to knock my arm off my stomach. It's still a very weird feeling, him being so strong, and so active, but it's also great. I love feeling him. What made the real difference for me was when he turned himself from head to down to sitting breech, suddenly I could feel so much more!0 -
I am so sick of having headaches and migraines. Not just during pregnancy. But at least when I wasnt pregnant I could take a tablet and feel better straight away.
Bit random but I noticed that my bump is slightly lopsided. I think its funny.0 -
Do you take anything usually, Munchkin? I was told I could take my Sumatriptan if I needed to. But that if I found i had to take it often they would put me on a preventative, instead of relying on a triptan on-demand. This was when I had a consultant appointment, to review my medical history. Definitely worth asking if you're suffering. xx
(My bump is sticking out way further on the right this morning - I think I squished him over there in my sleep! He's having a riot this morning though, so I'm sure he'll be in another weird position soon!)0 -
I take sumatriptans too. I don!!!8217;t really want to but hubby called and spoke to a pharmacist for me when I had a really bad one who said its up to me. If the benefits outweigh the small risk.
I felt horrendous.
I have taken two this pregnancy and feel bad about it but everything seems ok so far.
In laws bought me a cooling pad to put in a pillow and that helped last night.0 -
Munchkin You probably already have but have you tried the 4head stick? I had a few headaches at the start of the pregnancy when I was really dehydrated and it helped some - not sure if it would work for migraines though. And you can use it as much as you need to.
I'm 19 weeks tomorrow and not felt anything yet - I thought I felt some flutterings but I was lay on the sofa and had just eaten so it was probably just food gurgling through my belly.
One week until the 20 week scan - I've heard a number of mixed stories so for ladies that have already had one, what should I expect? Thanks in advanceLittle One born 19/12/18
5/5/18 I became Mrs Pie

Yeah Nellie I have thank you but I dont think it did much. I have headache balm and oil from a company I found on Facebook and Im not sure they help either but they smell nice.
My scan is three weeks today and I cant wait.0 -
I love summer. I love the heat.
Why oh why did my body decide that yes, I will finally get pregnant just as the hottest summer since before I was born hits.
Everyone is telling me to keep hydrated which I am but needing to pee every five minutes is really taking the p*** , pun intended.
Hope everyone else is managing to keep cool.
Did get a bargain though. Black linen maternity trousers I can wear for work from Peacocks.
Four pounds!!!0 -
NelliePie - as with all things maternity, it seems to vary a lot, depending on where you are! But my 20wk scan was much like my 12wk, but they spend more time checking out their huge tick-list of things they need to look at. Depending on what weird position baby has origami'd themself into this can either be easy or impossible
Don't worry if they go quiet while they're looking at a bit - it's hard to remember when you're watching on a huge 32" TV screen that they're trying to look at veins/arteries in baby's heart which is only the size of a thumbnail.... I had to go back at 22wks, because Sproglet was in such a tangle they couldn't get half his measurements.
Oh, and if you don't want to know the gender, make sure to tell them, and look away when they begin the scan! Our scan pretty much started with a huge !!!! pic. There really was no mistaking it! (Unless you're my OH who literally cannot tell an !!!! from an elbow on scans).
Munchkin - what a bargain! And yes, I'm weeing every 2 seconds. It's almost a full time job! I hope you find some way of easing the headaches. x0 -
Hi everyone.
I've just graduated the less than 12 weeks thread. I'm due 4th Feb. Scan yesterday showed everything was well, NT was 1.6mm so hoping for a nice low risk result.
Do we have a list I can be added on to?0 -
Hi Rambosmum.
Glad your scan went well.
I dont think we have a list.0
