I get Mat Leave but not Mat Pay
have looked at it though and it seems that only the first six weeks are different so not as bad as I was thinking. The HR lady knows but not my boss... fingers crossed!
I fell asleep at 7.15 on the sofa last night, woke up for an hour to get myself upstairs but then zonked again, but typically been wide awake since 4.30... can't get back off so I've done a bit of eBay shopping - whoops!
What maternity clothes do you actually need? I'm hoping to get away with "normal" vest tops and cardis (going up sizes as needed) and the floaty summer dresses I already have; but what are your recommendations for key "capsule" pieces?0 -
I probably have a bigger maternity wardrobe than most! I have 4 x jeans, 2x joggers, 3 x leggings, 3x smart work trousers, 2 x smart work skirts, 1 x PJs, 1 x nightie, 8 x vest/ss t shirt, 3 x ls t shirt, 1 x smart shirt, 6 x dresses, 2x swimsuit, 1 x exercise outfit, 2 x fancy tops.
I've been packing up/chucking out my outgrown clothes the last few days. I don't like wearing things too tight, and now everyone knows I'm pregnant i'm happy to be seen in maternity gear. To me it's kind of a celebration of moving into 2nd trimester, hopefully feeling a lot better, enjoying planning for little one and enjoying the pregnancy.
I did put on weight after my first pregnancy, and carried on wearing maternity wear for quite sometime. I know others would bounce back sooner, and probably don't have as big a bump as me at this stage, but I don't really care, I'm very happy with my bump!
I love my new exercise outfit that arrived yesterday. I've skipped my exercise class for a month because I've felt so rough. Hoping to restart on Monday, I'll probably only be able to do half, but doing any I'll be pleased with.0 -
Also, have started to feel baby move - yay!0

Timeflies - how far are you that you've started to feel movement?
Also, I've suffered 2 sneezing leaks which is not great at hayfever time of the year! Must remember to do the pelvic floor exercises!Mortgage £126746 DEC14 £122423.53 DEC15 £115041.70 DEC16 Remortgaged Sep17 to pay off HtB loan £150000 - £140500 JUL19 Moved house Oct19 £230000 £230400 DEC200 -
Hi Ladies, hoping I can join. I'm currently 12+5 with my second. I was on these boards with my first who is now 4! My husband and I have had fertility treatment for this pregnancy - Clomid (unsuccessful), IUI (unsuccessful) then a successful IVF cycle.
PeppaCoin mentioned about about Facebook groups for babies due in autumn/winter 2017 - does anyone know of any? I was (and still am) on one from the first time around and found it brilliant.....would anyone be interested if I set one up?0 -
Just wondered when/if you've had to start wearing maternity clothes yet?0

Hi
I'd be up for a Facebook group
I've not got any maternity stuff yet but I am on the hunt for it and hopefully won't be much longer before I find some I like and can start wearing itMortgage £126746 DEC14 £122423.53 DEC15 £115041.70 DEC16 Remortgaged Sep17 to pay off HtB loan £150000 - £140500 JUL19 Moved house Oct19 £230000 £230400 DEC200 -
I'll be 13 weeks tomorrow and definitely don't need any maternity clothes yet....can't remember last time when I started in them.
So I've just created a secret fb group....I think we have to be fb friends so I can add you?0 -
Timeflies - where are your smart work trousers from? That's what I need really as my normal ones are starting to get uncomfortable when I'm sitting down all day
Told my boss on Monday and he was brilliant - really didn't expect that from him!0 -
Glad your boss was good about it
