It's not negativity, we just happen to have our eyes open and aren't seduced by ridiculous offers for hardware when we know it isn't worth what they are offering.
Post your phone to a PO box address by all means if that's what you want to do, but don't hold your breath waiting for the money to arrive because it won't.Understeer is when you hit a wall with the front of your car

If they have freepost then it means they are registered with royal mail and thus official. If it was some dodgy 'geezer' in a nissan with a baseball cap who picked it up then fair enough to what you're saying, but freepost suggests to me that they have been vetted. :beer:0 -

Almost anyone can quite easily set up a freepost address for £90. It means nothing.goodfelladave wrote: »If they have freepost then it means they are registered with royal mail and thus official. If you're this blind to all the warnings, then you do deserve to lose your phone to these people.0 -
Royal Mail don't "vet" people, all they want (at best) is proof of ID and a valid bank account, both of which can be obtained very easily.goodfelladave wrote: »but freepost suggests to me that they have been vetted.
Take a look at the address on Street View, it's a pokey little building advertising storage space and mailboxes for rent outside the front door.Understeer is when you hit a wall with the front of your car

I'm not blind to this, and I'm not ungrateful for it, but I'm just saying I spoke to them, noone else here has. I don't see what makes them any different to mazuma or envirophone or any of the others, other than the price offered and being, presumably, new.
I have an older phone, an iPhone 4. It doesn't have a box or anything, but given what everyone has said, I might send that off and see what's what. If I get the cheque promptly AND in the promised amount (cause so many phone companies lie about the amount they'll give) then all's well and good. If not, :mad:a call to trading standards will be on the cards. Wish me luck folks. Venturing where no (afaik) mse'r has ventured before.

How about the fact they are registered with companies house?goodfelladave wrote: »I don't see what makes them any different to mazuma or envirophone or any of the others,
What do you think they are going to be able to do when the PO Box is shut down in a months time and the ID used to get it turns out to be fake?goodfelladave wrote: »If not, :mad:a call to trading standards will be on the cards.
I'm starting to think you either have an interest in that company or you are incredibly naïve (if the latter, I still have that bridge for sale).Understeer is when you hit a wall with the front of your car
