Does having an online premium bond account allow you to apply online for the pensioner bonds?

Stop making mountains out of a molehill.

Careful; that's a major retirement hobby for some of the commenters on this forum. And for quite a few pre-retirement too. Grievance and resentment keep 'em warm at night, I suppose.
Free the dunston one next time too.

    In a word - no.

I might have misunderstood your question though

I have NS&I membership (?) number because of my Premium Bonds and that allowed me to register for the Pensioner Bonds.

All you can register for as of now is to receive emails with further updates (about anything to do with NS&I). Anybody can do so, you don't have to be a member or have an online account or anything (other than an email address).

This registration is not an application for Pensioner Bonds nor does it get you a place in the Q for them.

It's the principle of the thing though - .......

whenever I read that I think 'sit back and pass the popcorn please....'

Perhaps of greater importance, does anyone have any clues as to when we will actually be able to buy these bonds?
The questions that get the best answers are the questions that give most detail....

I do wonder, why the delay.
  • Has there been statement stating a specific date in January when these Bonds will be issued.
