That will depend on how quick BT can switch it on for you in your area. For me it was a couple of weeks. It will be the same lead time for all isp's anyway.
Hope this helps

Still not convinced about them being uncapped. They still have that old reference to BT in thier T&C.
6.1 You shall not use the Service
(f) in a way that in BT's reasonable opinion could materially affect the quality of any telecommunications service, including the Service, provided by E7even
It seems to be down to what BT thinks is fair and what effects the network so they could put caps on the high bandwidth users and blame BT.0 -

Well it seems to be uncapped to me, and it is certainly promoted as such, and I have never heard of anyone having their e7even service capped. The BT clause sounds like the sort of clause that would be hidden in every contract anyway, and certainly does not mean that the service is capped. To infinity and beyond!0 -

Hi
If you sign for 2 years to save the connection fee. In case if you want to terminate the contract before 2 years then what are the penalties from E7even. Is it "termination fees of the £50 connection fee, the time used and the proceeding 3 months fees will be deducted from any refund due".
Thanks!0 -
£1 per minute for tech support from e7even is a bit much as well.
Have a look at this board as well for comments good and bad from existing customers

And it seems a few people have had e-mails about file sharing and downloading as well. Dont know if this is linked to download limits or if they monitor the peer to peer networks.0 -

A lot of services have claimed uncapped and then turn out not to be (Tiscali, Plusnet, Talk talk). I am not saying the service is capped I would just prefer a T&C that left no room for doubt. It leaves the way for the service to be capped and you would have no say in it and cant cancel the contract.
My opinion of uncapped is no download limit and no restrictions on my speeds when using certain apps that e7even and others do have in place.0 -

Well, today I have made the decision to make the move from dial-up to broadband and have after reading what I think must be hours of input from subscribers to this site, I've chosen e7even as my provider and have selected 2 yrs. Yes, it means I'm making the funds available to this company I know little about and yes, I was and probably still am a touch apprehensive.
Casting my mind back, that same apprehension was there when I made the decision to allow the powers that be governing 18866 and 1899 to take their "dues" from my account, to pay for the telephone provision.
Well, so far everything has gone well with the telephone service and hopefully this will be echoed with e7even. Using Visa is a safeguard of a sort I suppose.
I've read that on the odd occassion, speeds are not as they should be, but so what, for a tenner a month, it'll be a darn sight faster than dial up. Equally, when I read that now and again, these new fangled ways of providing our telephone calls have the odd hiccup, I think, "what the heck, the damn call only cost a penny!".
You pays yer money, you take what if gives, and if along the way things are not perfect, I think, well it aint a perfect world, is it". islandman
