1MB Uncapped broadband £10 per month plus free modem

Options
E7even have done it again !
Limited to the first 2000 (1965 left as I type) 1MB uncapped broadband for only £10 per month. You also get a free modem. There is of course a £50 connection fee (BT get most of this) but that is also waived if you sign up for 2 years.

I have been with e7even for about 9 months, and they have been excellent.
They are highly rated by customers at sites such as net4nowt and adslguide and they also include a static ip address at no extra charge plus free .uk domain name registration and free hosting - great if you fancy setting up your own website.

Check out my referral thread for up to date information and for details of how to save even more !

I believe that some people have had some problems during a network upgrade, but I personally have never had a problem.

I just did a speed check of my 1M connection (at ADSLGUIDE.ORG) and got the following:

Direction Actual Speed True Speed (estimated)

    Downstream 924 Kbps (115.5 KB/sec) 997 Kbps (inc. overheads)
    Upstream 241 Kbps (30.1 KB/sec) 260 Kbps (inc. overheads

Was about to sign up when I discovered you have to pay the 12 or 24 months upfront! The search goes on...

Yes - that is the only catch - but is the reason for the cheap price. - You can move it from 1 address to another though for a small charge !

Another point worth bearing in mind is that e7even often do great deals for existing customers - Previously they have done 'extend your contract by 6 months for a on-off payment of £45' and 'double your speed for the rest of your contract - for £25'. So they do look after their customers with great ongoing deals.

    One other point worth noting.
A few weeks ago on a Saturday, a piece of equipment failed, and BT were unable to repair it for the whole day. E7even emailed all customers apologising profusely and to recompense its customers it extended everybody's contracts by 2 weeks even though the outage was caused by Faulty equipment that BT took ages to replace !

That is great customer support if you ask me !

Sounds good but personally I would be very wary of paying upfront.

No problem with paying upfront - do it on a credit card and you have some protection if you are concerned.
They have lots of happy customers - me included.
