I've just received a call and thankfully I googled CLC Travel first and saw all these previous posts. I will give them a miss and warn my family just in case they call back.

If only everyone was as sensible and just did a google search of businesses they are about to trade with. The amount of problems it would avoid would be massive.

My wife and I got dragged into the clc camp while on honeymoon in spain, won a free holiday so came back next year. Once you get over the morning of the presentation (luckily this comes near the end of the week) and said no to everything they offer with a big smile you can go home after a not too bad week in a not too shabby resort. If like us you get the same offer the following year (they never give up) when it comes to the hard sell really turn the knife (our rep kept asking why we were there if we had no intention of buying and got quite miffed and promised to make sure we never got another offer again). So we have had 2 weeks semi free (flights and a small booking fee, think it was about 30 quid but not sure) in southern spain and got to wind up clc reps as an added bonus. We have had a third and then a fourth offer of another free holiday after winning again, from what i have no idea but I may well go back for one last trip before they finally give up.

I was called twice but so far twice only today about this so it shows that they haven't been stamped on yet; still, quoting the Harassment Act 1997 was inspired and it seemed to work - I swear the suddenly silent voice that was at the end of the phone suddenly started to sound worried before it hung up.

Thanks to all who posted. I completed a survey at El Altet (Alicante) 6 or 18 months ago which I forgot about. I was called last week and invited to a presentation next Saturday in London. I told them that my wife is off to Spain tomorrow for 3 months so they left a number for me to call when she returns! Needless to say I won't, having read the above!

So we had a phone call about 1/2 an hour saying we had won a holiday, either southern spain or Canary islands, all we have to do is go to a meeting up in London where we will receive a £25 M&S voucher or Argos voucher, we dont have to buy anything its just that its 2 hours of our time. So tell me did you actually go on the holiday and if so was it a scam? we have been told its completely free only £29 per person booking fee. Does that sound the same as yours? We are seriously considering it as we desperately would love a holiday as not had one for over 8 years, due to no funds! But obviously scared there is something not right! help us please.

Just read the warnings. Its the same scam. Avoid
