They have managed to lose not one, but two of my items. A 100% complete failure rate. The parcels show they have left the local depot, then they disappear. Maybe they dump them in a skip, maybe they dumped them by the side of the road, maybe they have burnt them.
Calling about the first parcel that hadn't moved for 4 days, the call centre promised to email me within a day. Didn't happen, so called again. No response for ages, then a gentleman picks up and asks if he can call back.
Considering they promised to email me and didn't, I said no. It turned out they didn't take my email yesterday, so incompetently fobbed me off.
After that he explained that neither parcel had been scanned into the system. I know using a barcode scanner, how difficult, but they would search the depots for my items. Checked on second parcel, sent by their moe expensive, faster, standard service. Also lost. A parcel firm that can't deliver parcels.
So basically they have a 100% a failure rate, are utterly useless, only use if you want your parcels to be lost/stolen. You have been warned.

The parcel system is run by Yodel, so it will be a Yodel depot that have lost your parcel0

The tracking stops after the local depot.0 -

The call centre guy tried that trick. Complaining about the delivery company.
I don't care if they use a fleet of flying dragons to deliver the parcels. My contract is with collect plus, I paid them to deliver it and they have failed twice.
Not only that, they haven't got back to me as they promised. Useless avoid.0 -
I have the same problem with four parcels. I have used Collect Plus numerous times in the past with no problems. I rang them yesterday and the girl explained there is a backlog due to Black Friday last week - she says they will take a few days to catch up. I will ring Monday if no update. If they lose them they have to refund us though, so don't worry!0

Ring them again, I was understanding about the volumn issue. The problem was the parcels dropped off the tracking. The call centre told me that even if the parcel was waiting processing, it should be marked in the tracking as sitting in the depot.
If it isn't, it has either been lost somewhere, or nicked, if I am less generous. If it said waiting in depot, I wouldn't have a problem. Instead they last they knew about it was in a van picked up from the local depot.
Frankly I could run a service as effective as collectplus. Give me a £5, and my delivery company will take your parcel out to the back of the shop and throw it in a skip.
Actually I am being unfair, my delivery company is better than Collectplus. At least with my service you have the option of fishing it out the skip.0 -
Just checked the website again and on all my parcels it says: Parcel Status - Despatched from Yeovil Depot. I sent them on 3rd December by the Standard two day delivery. Is that the same wording as yours Bartelbe? When I spoke to her yesterday she said there would be an update sometime over the weekend, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed. I will ring them first thing Monday to chase it up as they are ebay parcels and I'm worried about bad feedback!0

Same wording. Basically that means a van has picked up your parcel from your local depot. It is suppose to go to a bigger national depot for processing.
I was told that when it is taken off the van, it should be scanned by the bigger depot, to show it has arrived. That should show up on the tracking.
At the moment they are hunting for mine amoung lost property, the depot and asking for a description of my items, which doesn't fill me with confidence.
They obviously can't handle Christmas volumes, but who can blame them? Christmas is a completely unexpected event.0 -
Also posted parcel on Monday morning which is due for delivery up to 5 Days. Went for the £150 insured rate which just about covers the value.
Parcel still at national hub due to high volumes, will just have to wait and see if it gets there. Didn't realise that Yodel were involved, if I had I would have chosen a different carrier.0 -

Done better than I have, at least you have reached the national hub.0
