Is it just me or is First Direct

That's my point. You have to guess.
"payments and transfers >> view or stop" is pretty much self-explanatory IMO.No - the direct debits should be further indented to show it belongs to the standing orders topic. ¬pay a bill or transfer ¬view or stop ¬standing orders and direct debits

As mentioned in this thread, it's not aesthetically pleasing, and is functionally limited, as well as being illiterate.0 -
It works, view or stop means just that, view or stop a payment. Why is it functionally limited ?
What doesn't it do that you would like it to do ? Aesthetically pleasing is subjective, you can't please all the people ! Have you let them know your concerns ?0 -
As you quoted my post, I take this as arguing with me.
If so, unlike you, I just said that I didn't like it.
Unlike me, you present your opinion like a fact.
The fact remains that all this is a matter of personal taste and preferences. The functionality ("array of tools") is pretty much the same for the majority of banks/CCs and hardly changes after endless 'improvements' in the look of the websites. There isn't much to change really except the look.
Sorry dad, I am entitled to express my opinion even if it does not chime with yours. What I write is read by other users not just you. Anyway I apologise unreservedly if I have unwittingly upset you. X x.Money is a wise mans religion0 -
Well, all menus are shortened in some way. Just click once - and you don't need to guess anymore.
"payments and transfers >> view or stop" is pretty much self-explanatory IMO.
Well, that's your opinion. I don't want to guess even once. It's not a sensible menu.I don't see any illiteracy, and you failed to answer my question what functionality you were missing.
The illiteracy as I already explained is that their use of case is inconsistent. Eg Regular Saver and savings account are both links. Why the different case - looks like the designer was over familiar with facebookese or txt, not what I want from my bank. Seem first direct are zealous about their lower case (hence not First Direct), but doesn't excuse this bodge.
Functionality:
Why is the default a pop out window - annoying
I want to see (all) my balance(s) as soon as I land on the login page, not have to select from a dropdown and then an account
The whole look and feel is like a framed website from the early 2000s0 -
It is sloppy and one of the worst online banking experiences. Clearly it matters more to you than to most, and certainly than to myself, but after your explanation and with respect to your OP I don't think anyone could accuse you of inventing a reason to leave.
Back to the OP, I would probably rank Tesco slightly lower than FD.0 -

As i say to my kids " i want never gets"
Grow up. It's a website, not a matter of life or death.0 -
I like my Barclays online banking. Halifax is awful and I have complained about it to them before.*The RK and FF fan club* #Family*Don’t Be Bitter- Glitter!* #LotsOfLove ‘Darling you’re my blood, you have my heartbeat’ Dad 20.02.200

If you the Co-op's is bad, wait until you see Smile Bank...I've built better webpages myself and I know only basic HTML ! :rotfl:
I think MSE should have a "Wonky Website" trophy so that MSE'ers can vote for the worst financially-orientated website.
My vote goes to ....Smile Bank :rotfl::TDFW'er - Lightbulb moment : 31st July 2009 - £18,499
28th October 2019 - £13,505 - 27% paid off.
