Answer to 22 is Ken palmer. 22 tests as umpire and 1 as player scoring 10 and taking 1 wicket

Welcome to the forum and thanks for that brilliant answer.
I thought it had to be something like that but just couldn't find it.
  • i quoted the wrong question. i meant the one about runs in the 21st century.

You're right, he did but if you look at post 27 above, it looks like Mike Hussey had more than Ramps.
  • sven koenig and matt prior both got centuries at lords in those years. koenig retired hurt and came back later on to finish his ton

Mike Hussey has 17401 from 2001 and 18006 from 2000. But I feel too lazy to check the stats since Jan 1 for him and Ramprakash .. :)

I've looked the figures you quoted and agree Hussey is in front of Ramps up to the end of 2013. As Ramps retired in July 2012 Hussey's lead can only have increased.
The only question now is, has someone else done better than Hussey?

How about Murray Goodwin of Glamorgan? I make his total from 2000 to 2014 as 20560.
  • Yes, Goodwin beats Hussey and Ramprakash easily. Good spot.

It look as if there are now only three questions that need an answer/confirmation. These are 29, 35 & 40.....unless you can spot something else that's dubious.

    26. What did Sven Koenig in 2004 and Matt Prior in 2011 both achieve at Lord's?
    Answer: Scored a century

After thinking about, isn't it a bit random to pick out these two players in these two years just because they scored a century at Lords. Surely there must be many other players that have scored a century at Lords in one year or another.
Note that this question is in the Quirky Goings-on section, what is "quirky" about this?
Perhaps the fact that they both both made their hundreds without losing their wicket? But even this isn't unique, after all Dravid made 103 not out in the same match that Prior made his 103 not out.
Can't help thinking there must be a bit more to this.
