    How about a 911?

Doesn't matter what anyone says, the Boxster is seen as a Porsche for people who can't afford a 911.

Personally, I don't go in for buying show off makes/brands.

    I'd buy an Ultima GTR.

Topgear in their ignorance refuse to test them, but one was put around the Topgear track and wiped the floor with Schumacher's £1.6m Ferrari FXX lap time, in fact I believe it's still the fastest production car to ever go around that track.
Did I mention it was British too?

Strange as on their homepage they have this quote,
"It's an amazing road car the Ultima GTR, It has broken just about every single speed record there is to break"
    Jeremy Clarkson - Top Gear

If it had to be only 1 car, I'd probably go for a Nissan GT-R.

If I was allowed another, I'd get a top spec Nissan X-Trail for my daily/practical driver, and a giant box-van trailer.

Strange as on their homepage they have this quote,

Has it ever been on Topgear? No.....

Ultima is a kitcar manufacturer, but fully built cars can be purchased all the same and TG will most likely always continue their anti-kitcar ways. I suspect they make a lot of money from endorsing cars by the big brand manufacturers, so if they were to show something that's basically a low tech British muscle car, that can destroy £1m+ supercars (with all their fancy gadgetry) around the TG test track, I think they'd not be very popular. Not with the manufacturers, but also not with the rich muppets who go out buying these £1m cars.

I don't know, I'm not that anal that I remember every car that has ever been featured.

I was just pointing out that it is strange that they "refuse" to feature the car on the programme but there is a quote from Jeremy Clarkson praising it on the cars homepage.

I've got a 10yr old Fiesta and i'm quite happy with it, it starts first turn of the key every time, I've never understood the need to drive around in a flash car.

Jeremy isn't TopGear, as they are always keen to point out when he says something controversial (but often true).
