I'm guessing my mentioned involving the police when you knocked on the door and the console is now at one of their friends house!

    Great neighboughs

Or the 18 y/o was out when OP knocked on as he was already pawning it at the local Cash Converters
  • If Game give the police the serial number of the missing unit, won't it pop up on someone's radar the first time someone tries to connect the thing to the internet?

As you have probably gathered by now, unless you nominated your neighbour to take delivery then GAME have not delivered it to you and nor completed their half of the contract

That's the law, however, good luck getting GAME to adhere to any laws, likewise CURRYS

My one and only experience with GAME they do not acknowledge DSR at all and I wouldn't buy anything of either company ever again

Your best hope is that you paid the GAME pirates with a credit card and let them tackle GAME PIRATES

I just got one of the £300 PS4 deals from Game as well on Tuesday there. I feel pretty thankful now that it was delivered to my house after this thread.

Good to hear they're going to sort you out. Shame they dragged their heels.

GAME are a bunch of crooks just pray you never need any after sale service

I think you'll find that all carriers (including Royal Mail) will leave parcels with neighbours if no one answers at the intended address
    .

Then it is a risk taken by RM (or the seller that nominated RM as their agents) and not by the buyer who has ZERO responsibility in receiving a parcel

  • I'm not so sure now with regards to RM leaving parcels with neighbours. We used to get them all the time for the houses on both sides of ours but in the last year we've never taken in a single package despite a witnessing multiple failed deliveries.

Yes that should happen if the police had the SN.

Just thought I'd share what happened since my last post.

While waiting for my delivery confirmation. I got info from a friend where my stolen ps4 was. At the daughters of next doors flat she was planning to sell it. So I let the police know, they did a 'search' (blagged it without a warrant) and they found it! Out my parcel box but unopened ps4. Police gave it me back.

I didn't hear anything more from GAME about my unconfirmed order. unsure if they fobbed me off or the police let them know not to send another.

Police said they can't do anything to her because they didn't have a strong reason to search her place. Even tho they found it.

Worse bit was the mother gave me some lip later that day. and there I was expecting a "sorry your parcel ended up at my daughter s flat" lol
  • They dont need a warrant if they believe a person or accomplice involved in a crime they are investigating is in the premises, pace section 17 .
