edit - after checking i realised this deal isn't that great

I'm going in July and waiting in the hope it will go back up after the election in May, unless it increases to a good deal beforehand and then I may change up a small amount

The forcast is for an improving US economy thus not likely to improve, will just be keeping an eye in case it does drop quickly
  • Pebbles, sorry to hear that. I hope you improve and manage to get your trip and enjoy it. Health comes first, get well soon. x

we're both thinking all kinds of positive thoughts for you, pebbles...will really be a shame if you cannot make the trip but I agree that health has to come first...but maybe it can shape itself up enough that it can come first AND let you go to Vegas. :)
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?
  • That's us got a second Vegas trip booked for this year. Have booked flights for late August/September. Got a good deal on the flight with RBS Royalties travel service (if anyone banks with them). No hotels as yet. I'd still like to stay at Wynn if I could get a good price sometime. Venetian is looking possible via Priceline Express at £75 per night midweek.

For our May trip I still have 2 nights to book too - have seen a good deal for Rio. Not stayed there for a few years. $59 for their Samba rooms (refurbished recently). I'm not sure what tower they are in, but don't really mind. It's either that or we're considering trying Tuscany. Most places are expensive due to Rock in Rio being on.
  • Is it true that there are no resort fees at Caesars hotels until the end of March for international visitors?

Not that I am aware of

someone posted the other day about resort fees being included in bookings with a TA? up to a date but not after, dont know if it was caesers though

is that what you are referring to

EDIT found this posted by seldomseenkid, it is the post I was thinking of

Ideally would prefer to go back on specific dates this year, and Thomas Cook are cheaper than I can book separately. However, after over a full hour in-store they cannot confirm if the resort fees are included for Signature.

Some info though = Book by 1st April 2015 for travel this year and the resort fees are included for the MGM Group (listed every hotel but Signature). Book after 1st April 2015 and the resort fees are not included.
  • Pebbles, hope your health improves and you can enjoy your trip if you choose to go xx

Thanks for all the good wishes. I'm feeling a bit more positive altogether now. If I can't go, it won't be the end of the world, but I have been looking forward to this trip for such a long time. As you say, health is more important.
  • Hi,

Dear daughter has said that she would like to spend her 30th birthday in Las Vegas, her birthday is in September 2016 so has roped mum and dad in amongst possible others.

We are not gamblers but just want to see what the hype is all about, we are thinking 3/4 days in Las Vegas and then moving down to the coast ie Los Angeles/San Diego so 2 weeks in all. I would probably pick up a rental car at the end of the Las Vegas stay and then drive to LA/San Diego but don't know very much about San Diego so what are peoples thoughts?

We would be flying from the London area so any recommendations on places to stay and what Airlines are best, have flown with Virgin and BA in the past and rate Virgin slightly higher but I am open to suggestions.

I don't mind booking my own flights and hotels and car hire but appreciate that sometimes it can work out cheaper by getting a package put together.

    Look forward to any recommendations.

    Thanks
