haha, no shares in Lowcostusa!
Just observation since 2013, trending and tracking...
I go on the total price (inc's R Fee's)
Don't know of a friends/family link for CET properties ?
Overall, I found Quickrooms.com / expressrooms.com to be similar to Lowcostusa , as they included R fee's... That website also showed the cost in $ which helped me last and 2013 year to do some price matching....
But out of the many sites, including the US sites, I just found Lowcostusa to be the cheapest for majority of the hotels...
Am well into my spreadsheets, so I get to see cost difference overtime between providers
Employee/friends/family rates for caesers
Still dont assume they are the cheapest tho

i joined social rewards a few weeks ago, so would be keen for more info.
I have a separate fb account for myvegas so just used that for social rewards too. Do they facebook games go towards your points? I have almost 1500 points.
I just signed up to twitter tonight & have followed each of the cet hotels etc
Anyone got any other tips?
Thanks in advance :beer:0 -
I used to know My Vegas inside out - I was obsessed with it from August 2012 until our trip in June/July 2013 (and when we were there too - loved the QR codes you could scan to win prizes - ah the good old days!). I'm a bit out of touch now though. I started playing seriously again a few weeks back in preparation for our trip on June and have 194,000 lps and three rewards that I'll probably use for food and drinks again although I keep looking at hotel rooms and wondering.
Stuie - as far as you know is it still some magical secret formula that gets you four rewards? Last time we went we were just in time to get a fourth reward for a $5 chip purchaseThis time I hadn't thought it was worth trying for a fourth as I didn't think I'd have enough lps to redeem anyway but I'm doing quite well at the moment and some of the stuff seems quite 'cheap' as long as you're staying at an MGM property

not quite, I found it hit and miss to get the 4 rewards...
When our accounts got reset back to 3 rewards in Jan 2014, I tried the $9 chip buy, followed by $39 chip buy I think...
But on wifes account, I had to do $9, $39, $9, $5 before it gave her the 4 rewards....
Very odd
Peeps still say the same now, hit and miss as to how u get the 4 I think...
Most spend like $40 + and eventually get the 4 rewards...0 -
Cheers
At the moment, I want the $50 Monte Carlo Credit (had this last time and used at The Pub), the $50 drinks credit at Times Square NYNY (had three of these between four of us when it was $75 and had an absolute blast with Cameron the bar tender) and two Aria lunch buffets. That leaves me with 31k lps so I might try a couple of purchases and see what happens, if I pay $40 but get at least a $50 reward then it's still worth it! Might wait a while just in case the lp costs go up

Hi all,
Vegas newbie here, got booked up today:
Monday 21st - Monday 28th September 2015
Direct Flights from Manchester (Thomas Cook Airlines)
7 nights at Luxor, pyramid deluxe king room
It's a vegas trip to celebrate my wife's 30th birthday. Most looking forward to the bars, clubs & pool parties. Not really into the gambling.
£1627 in total for the both of us. Fairly happy with that but wish I got amongst the Virgin Atlantic sale before it ended earlier in the week.
Any advice for a lively couple's first trip and in particular, a special birthday celebration whilst we are there?0 -

I'll give you an example, Hakasan pays Calvin Haris in excess of $50k for one set, how do you think they can afford that.
also don't get drawn into giving a tip to the street venders who give out the VIP line passes for the clubs, you will find the line for VIP's sometimes longer than that for general admission. The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.0 -
lowcostusa seems to be better for higher-end properties...at least that is how it has always seemed to me.
as for how much you gamble to get offers, it's not necessarily just down to how much your budget is...most of these are based on some complex calculation that looks at your play through. So someone could have $100 budget and play for ages and ages getting some wins here and there and keep playing and winning a bit and keep playing and rack up quite a lot of play through...someone could have a $200 budget and get slaughtered and lose it quite quickly and have less play through - actually log less money run through the machine.
It's not just down to one person put $20 into the machine and another put $40 so the $40 person will get more comps...the $20 person could have waaaay more play through than the $40 person, just depends.
They look at how much you played through the machine, what your theoretical loss was, and offers may be based on that calculation in some way.
I think there is or was one club that's an exception to the general rule where you earn points, etc. by winning.
Of course the more you have to play with to begin with will obviously make a difference, but it's not the only thing that comes into it.
We never have TR offers but can always get some sort of comps by logging in and checking our dates like lesley74 says.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -
Are the signature likely to price match low cost usa if I contact them directly to ask for a better price than they have advertised? The lowest price I've found elsewhere is via mlife, but that's still around £100 more taking the resort fee into consideration.
Dates are for 30/3 - 8/4.0
