I am not sure I recall anyone mentioning the whiskey tasting at MC on MyVegas but we bought one for my father-in-law as he had points and a redemption to spare and if anyone enjoys whiskey or wants 3-4 full shots, it's maybe decent value. I think it is meant to be 3, but our bartender said he was feeling generous and gave 4.

There was a list to choose from, I cannot remember many of them other than there were a few Jack Daniel's options, a bourbon that was bought and cured (or whatever it is) specifically for the MC (it was 160 proof, that one) and several others...some rye, some Tennesee, some Canadian and then the usual suspects from this side of the pond.

Between FIL and I (hubby and MIL had no interest) we had a couple of tiny sips of each so most went to waste. I hate the stuff but was playing along. FIL enjoys it but recognized the danger involved and apologetically passed on the rest of the volume.
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

    ok thanks for the surggestion!
I did not notice whiskey tasting whilst looking through the rewards as when we went in june all my brother and i were intrested in were the buffets in rehgards redeeming our points(no jokes here please!!)

How did it work for your father in law? did he get it put on his Mlife card? I guess at the monte carlo Mlife desk?

Am tempted to tell my brother about this reward, i dont touch the booze so it does not appeal to me,!

    thanks again for the surggestion!!

yes, and then over to the HIT bar for the tasting. very easy. It is probably more a filler reward, for most it will not be top of their list, there are other better deals out there...but as a filler it seemed pretty decent value.

I do not know much (anything) about whiskey but it seemed like several of those on the tasting menu you could choose from were unlikely to be on the list of things the cocktail waitresses would bring you. Maybe. All I know is I am not a big drinker, I had a few tiny sips of each of the 4 and I could feel it afterwards...I cannot imagine what anyone drinking all 4 of those things would be like afterwards. :)

I have got my Myvegas rewards and one of the ones I got is the Palace station buffet for two...but what I need to know is how far is it from TI,if we were to get a bus which one and how much approx in a taxi do you think it would be????If it is not worth it I won't bother with it.

according to the RTC's website by bus it would be about 37 minutes each way, of that 9 minutes walking, 1 change.

I haven't tried the Palace Station buffet, only GVR and RR, both of which are very good. We have stopped by the casino in the past, it is nothing terribly special but not awful...middle of the road sort of place.

Had an offer through from the Wynn - first time ever

Enjoy two complimentary passes to The Buffet when you stay three or more nights in a Wynn Deluxe Resort Room at the following rates.
    FROM
    $139 PER
    NIGHT
    Sunday through Thursday FROM
    $229 PER
    NIGHT
    Friday and Saturday
You can also book up to four rooms at Wynn for your guests at these rates. When making your reservation, ask about a complimentary upgrade to an Encore Resort Suite King.

Is this a good rate for the Wynn/Encore?

Yes, it's about as cheap as it gets at Wynn. If you see a cheaper deal they will pricematch and put you in a panoramic view room. Book it if you are prepared to pay that price for a room (and it's a lovely hotel!!!), and keep an eye on other sites for any possibility of cheaper rates.

Well it's almost here...we fly on Wednesday....LV I've missed you!!!
Because we didn't go in June as we normally do,got OH to buy extra luggage for journey home and extra leg room going out. However we are not sat together and I am now beginning to imagine all my worst fears re.person sat next to me!!After "smelly gate "last year I am now paranoid but have a cunning plan up my sleeve....I am going to make us a little late getting on plane and have a look at who OH is sat next to and get in there first before he even notices!!!!

yeah, saw that a while ago....
Shame they wont extend the date range!!! :D:D
I wont be going to Vegas in July now, Nor June even (kinda) ! :(
Dam wifey giving me restrictions!!!! Grrrrrrrrrrrr !!!

Plan now is, to either fly out on the 27th, 28th or 29th May for 2 weeks or so, so we land back on either the 12th or 13th June......

Westjet are still promoting there 1 stop flights via Canada for £550 to Vegas, but I think I need to hold out until January or so, just in case a super deal pops up, or an airline I've heard of, or 1stop flights don't entail 15 hours in the air!..
    I got a target to work to ! :D
    Target Costs:
Lon to LA direct = £470 or less
Lon to LAS direct = £594 or less
Lon to Las 1 stop = £525 or less

Flew with them to LA a couple of years ago. Fantstic flights both ways and the best food I've had in economy on any US bound flight.
