Hey everyone,

Does anyone have a contact or know who is the best to contact from Vdara? a couple of weeks ago it was mentioned in this forum about seeing they we would get free upgrades because the trip was our honeymoon.

Start off with guestservices@vdara.com and you should get contacted directly by a member of staff.

Hi all

Going to Vegas on Monday can't wait will be my 9th trip!

We are staying in Excalibur as on a bit of a budget .....

Does anyone have any experience using $20 trick?

Also my friend has booked a hotel room but not going with the person she originally booked with will they charge her to change names?

One more q .... We have never been 'clubbing' in Vegas never get how it works with tables bottles etc any recommendations?

in a weird way, I've not had any luck with the $20 upgrade trick in 8 of the hotels I've stayed in....
However, I have always used my cheek to get upgrades at say $20 to $25 a night......
And then on check-out, get that bill waived !
But I do gamble, so helps with clearing the bill!

As for the $20 sandwich, its more a case of trial and error, no harm in hinting at a $20 tip or slipping it between your CC and ID...
Worst case, they give u the $20 back... No harm in trying!

No ideas about the clubs, we only buy at the bars and I tell the servers i'll tip when I leave (or tip a few bucks there and then if we know were stopping for 1)

So long as your friend is the first name on the reservation it's fine.
If the non travelling name is first come back with a bit more info and we can suggest solutions.

have you checked out the jackcoulton website and forums for nightclub info? I have always presumed bottle service was a bit expensive but might be worth it if there is a few of u going

No sure what $20 would get you at Excalibur but always ask for any possible upgrades and put the 20 with ur ID, I've had upgrades before at bellagio and monte carlo

BA is stopping its Gatwick-Vegas service from 1 May 2016. (additional 3 days a week Heathrow service was announced a couple of months ago, so same number of flights).

Personally sorry to see the Gatwick service go.

Aer Lingus to start a Dub - Lax service in may next year. Available to book from early November.
I know some, like me, like a Dub start for cost reasons, others saw it as an extra flight too much (Stuie I recall?), this could change that.

Don't mind 1 stop flights to save on cost, but wife would give me an ear bashing if I booked a 2-stop flight!
Gonna have to look more into flights from Dublin for next year to LA or LAS...

I see WestJet are doing some aggressive 1-stop flights from Gatwick to Vegas for next year (late May, June, etc)... Seasonal flights, with stops in Canada.. Prices are real good, around £550, etc....
Am half tempted to book, but not sure if its too soon...

Me too !! With the Gatwick flight I liked arriving in Vegas early afternoon and leaving Vegas mid afternoon, really don't like leaving at 20:30 for Heathrow.
