Add info.Re car hire, we paid £118/week for a compact from Alamo last week. Filling up before we took it back cost $32. We had a Ford Focus, I think, I'm not really interested so long as they work. This week we had a bigger car for two days to show the grandson and his friend around a bit. It was a Chrysler 200 and cost £20/day at very short notice. This was also from Alamo through Netflights.

Filled the tank up after doing over 350 miles in two days and it cost us $32.55. Bargain.

Looking forward to seeing you guys! Weather looks like it might be a bit interesting at the weekend...air race is currently at significant risk unless it changes.
Ferf, it is definitely hotter than it should be. 96F at Hoover Dam yesterday afternoon. Far too warm for October.

I hope it cools down for you before the weekend.

    OK

Bit of a difficult question but just wondered if anyone had a clue.

Special date next year for Mrs B so have to stay at the Cosmo\Bellagio.

Looking to stay at the Cosmo-Terrace with fountain view and the Bellagio-Fountain view rooms.

Both are coming in at around £200 per night for a long way ahead-August 2016.

I know with Vegas hotel deals come\go and to book direct with hotel and then keep checking for deals, but any idea what I should be expecting to pay In August-Sund-Wed?

Looking to get the cost down if at all possible !

    Cheers

Ahh !!!!!! have joined CET in the 6 month activity or lose everything.

I repeat the adage "do not chase the comps"
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

I'm looking at the Bellagio for September next year and have the same problem. The only thing I've found at the moment is an online discount code (DWEB) for the Bellagio when booking direct which brings it in line with hotels.com.

I've heard differing opinions about booking through hotels.com with some people having issues when they arrive so have decided to try and book direct wherever possible (currently looking at a West Coast road trip).

Up to now booking direct seems as cheap as the online booking agencies in most cases and you have the added security of knowing your booking is safe.

The only drawback is that the hotels seem to want to take the first nights charge as a deposit but they are refundable up to 48 hours (Bellagio is 72 hours) if you cancel
