    We have been to

    Zion
    Bryce
    Death Valley
    Yosemite
    red rock
    valley of fire
    Sedona
    meteor crater

    and the Grand Canyon

    Enjoyed them all
but the 2 that stand out are GC and Yosemite.

and the only one that left me gobsmacked at the sight was the Grand Canyon

We're going to Vegas at the end of November, we've got a helicopter ride over the canyon, indian territory and the hoover dam. Is there anywhere I should definitely be going, that I wouldn't want to miss???

I'm pretty sure the helicopter pilot decides where you are going
    ;);)
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

I liked Zion better than the GC because I liked being down looking up better than up looking down. I know you can take tours down at the GC, but we didn't.

just wanted to say that Gordon Ramsay Steak customer service is fantastic...I was horrified today to realise that 2 months ago I booked dinner in honour of my father-in-law's 70th birthday...one week later than I meant to, and after we're back in the UK. Online there was only availability for 5:15 and 9:30...I was devastated at my stupid, stupid mistake.

I called them when I got home, and they moved the reservation to the correct day without any hesitation. Now I know that they probably do not book all tables via the online booking site, but still...they could have told me no, sorry, but they didn't.

So very relieved! It was more my husband than anyone I was upset about, as when we went previously he said at least 5 times that if his parents ever came with us again, he wanted to take his Dad there.

Presumably you mean in addition to the helicopter trip?

In that case, it depends what appeals to you (shops, restaurants, casinos, other attractions in the city, places outside the city, etc) and for places beyond the Strip it also depends to a large extent on whether you'll be renting a car.

I'm assuming this is a surprise. I promise not to mention it when we see you on Saturday.

Yes in addition to the helicopter trip, I mean in general really, is there anything that is "not to be missed"??

    Sorry to repeat, but:
    What appeals to you?
Will you be renting a car?

I love views and scenery etc, not sure about hiring a car, I've heard that it can be very very expensive, not sure if that's true though
