if you have a 2-4-1, you have to pay for one to get one free, the property gets some money out of you, they aren't just giving away something for nothing...so it has less value than having one free full stop...so they put a premium on the free ones and tack additional requirements on.

as ferf1223 said above, a couple of things to maybe remeber though
some of the 241 buffets are sometimes for lunch, sometimes for dinner as well, which may effect points (your example i have NOT checked either or so im assuming its lunch)

as for staying at the luxor, If i recall all you have to be doing for the vast majority of buffets/(shows?) all you have to be doing is staying at AN mgm property.

Have you joined any myvegas groups?there is a guy james hiete(james something !) whom posts lots of free chips(99% red chips and occasionary there are gold one)which may help you.

Hi all in Vegas at the moment, redeemed a my vegas reward which we are not going to use? If I go to desk will they put that back on? Also we have booked our flights for next year but not hotel is it worth asking at mlife desk prices?

Thanks for the info.

I'm staying at the Venetian so does that mean I can't claim for a lot of the rewards as its not in the MGM group.

No you are not sounding think you have asked a good question!

I think in theory you CAN get an Mlife card from an Mlife property, thats whats you need to redeem the 241 luxor buffet.

You go to the Mlife desk with your card, in this care the luxor, tell them you wanna redeem the 241 reward, give them the number(you will have this in your purchases when you purchase the reward, write it down,keep safe) they put it on your card, then you go to the buffet(or whenever you decide to go:p) and then tell the cashier person whom will swipe your Mlife card and ask for the 1 buffet payment

can somone with more knowledge than i confirm what i have said is right please?

There is no "in theory"

Fact you don't need to be staying at an MGM hotel to have a Mlife card-it's a casino card NOT a hotel card.
You don't even need to have gambled to have a card - you could just go to any MGM group hotel's casino and get the card without betting a penny...or cent. Just use your passport for photo ID - not all player clubs accept UK driving licences as ID.

On the subject of MyVegas rewards, we used some at the Hippadrome just over a week ago.
Went midweek with the wife and collected my £100 and £50 in super odds chips and the wife got her £50 of chips and a £10 matchplay on the slots.
We player the matchplay and took the chips home with us.
Went again on the Saturday night and I collected a £25 food n drink voucher plus another £25 in chips, Hazel also got £100 in chips and a £25 meal voucher.
Daughter not long been playing and she got £25 food n drink and £10 chips.

So we had £235 in free chips. was doing £5 on a number at roulette and then upped to 10 then £15.
Walked away in 5 minutes with £720 in cash
Then the 3 of us went for a meal using the vouchers.

Made enough for a return flight next year
