ah no worries, its not for everyone but my brother likes to take photos and we felt the stratasphere would be great and we felt it was!
also there is a couple of thrill rides at the top,
and before your ask no way unless i would do them unless a few million pounds was in my bank for me when i got home!!:D

I have done all the rides twice!! I actually found the second time more scary than the first but I think it was because it was a bit windy which added to the fear factor!!21 days until we go and I cannot wait.We usually go twice a year but because we had something on in June we didn't get to go.so because I felt hard done by OH has paid for extra leg room seats and extra luggage allowance for return journey, well a girls got to shop hasn't she??!!!

Most likely going in Mid June now.. We aim to go when the flights are cheaper, although would prefer July as its hotter!!
    Target Costs:
Lon to LA direct = £470 or less
Lon to LAS direct = £594 or less
Lon to Las 1 stop = £525 or less
As I aim to beat previous costs, the mission is to get cheaper flights, anywhere between mid june into July, for a 14 / 15 night break :)

Thing is, cos its so far away, I don't want to book anything just yet, as will make me wish the months away !! :D:D:D

Stuie, have you considered flying into Phoenix and driving? It's about 300 miles, not much further than LAX and no Los Angeles freeways to contend with. Just a thought.

yeah, looked at Sky Harbour, but not many direct flights go there, so the cost is quite high (although would love to go there anyway, and do the drive!) I love driving, hence flying direct to LA.....
I get a kick out of saving money to go places

June 2011 - Virgin flight to Vegas, but flew home from Orlando = £545
    May 2013 - KLM/US Airways 2 stop to Vegas = £526
    June 2014 - Virgin to Vegas = £595
    June 2015 - AA to LAX = £488

So yeah, if I can fly direct to Phoenix, LAX or SanFran for under £470, I'd book right now most likely..... Or keep my eyes peeled for those occasional super cheap flights to Vegas...

    Flying with AA LHR-LAX layover now 1hr 40min LAX-LAS
    and LAS-LAX with only 1hr 16mins layover before LAX-LHR

Anyone have experience of short layovers in LAX. Is it something to worry about?

Dublin to Heathrow then BA direct to LAS £511 return on Fridays in June - Ryanair starts as little as £24 LON to DUB so around the target price for a one stop to LAS.

  • Does anyone know of those random airport locations that cost a lot less?
We are flying into Phoenix and leaving from San Diego. Leaving direct from London is currently £720 each, going from Manchester via LHR is £100 cheaper per person!
I have found a few but don't go into those aiports :(
