Sounds like good advice. Two keys will be fine. The room type is guess is guaranteed (2 queens) so I'll take the chance and say we are 2 adults vs 4 to save almost 50%
hi
I noticed the question you asked eariler and well i thought i d throw my 2 cents in (hope you dont mind!)
I tihnk the only *issue*(if it would be one) and well my only experince is in vegas would be access to the pool.Last year my brother and i stayed at the mgm and when we went down to the pool, we were asked to show our 2 keys(we had one each)
Im not sure if other hotels do the same(in vegas anyhow) but you may have an issue there is 4 of you wanted to hit the pool and only have 2 keys.
best of luck though0 -
We usually get asked for a key but 1 is fine between the two of us
it's a good point tho!
Thank for the report Lesley.glad you liked USS Midway. I thought / hoped you would! I'm guessing that like us, you probably wouldn't return (thru choice) tho now you've pretty much covered it?

I've stayed at MGM a few times, so this may be where I'm thinking of with having to show the keys. Others will be able to advise on other hotels. Palazzo - I can't remember if being so strict but can't guarantee that either. MGM were super strict though, even checking bags. We had water and they allowed that.0 -

Yeah, Kevin's more into the military things, but I actually enjoyed it too. We did the audio guide (was included anyway) and I'm glad we did as it was really interesting.
Liked it, but not sure we'd go back as you say. We really did cover most of it, as we did with LA. I think I'd go back to LA first. I think I actually prefer Scottsdale, would go back there in a minute. I'm glad we don't have all that driving in September though, found it really tough this time around. Probably was the wrong day for it - 3 days in I was getting tired from not sleeping right. Still another great trip though!0 -

Have one key per couple, and if they insist you have one each to enter the pool (I vaguely recall that happening somewhere before, but I don't remember where or if it was a one-off), "lose" the keys and get 2 more from reception.0 -
Not sure if anyone else has noticed this:
I used carhire3000 before it became rentalcars a few years ago so tonight when booking for our upcoming trip I went straight to rentalcars.com
I'm not sure why but just as I was about to book I thought 'I wonder' and opened a new window and went to carhire3000.com
Same dates, same car, same drop off and pick up locations, same times, same result - Dollar, one week, treasure island to airport.
£5 cheaper on the carhire3000 version of the site which is very marginally displayed differently.
I didn't look for all car types to compare the relative differences but I was only looking at economy as that's all we need and we've done the convertible mustang a couple of times. About 4% in our case.0 -
Haven't noticed, but that's good to know.
Last time we booked with USrentacar as they were so much cheaper. However, on looking them up this time (late August), I'm finding them more expensive. Swings and roundabouts sometimes.0 -

yep happened to us when we stayed at the mgm grand and we used the pool, though we did not have any bags with us !!.I like you have no idea about other hotels though.0 -

I can see your point but when my brother and i stayed at the mgm grand(we shared a room) they asked for both our keys.
Im unsure if one key will work for a couple, but i can only speak for our experince.Like i said abouve im usnure if this is *standard practice* for every hotel, pool.
But good point about if you happen to "lose" your keys though being a worrier i d worry they d charge me !! though i agian am unsure if hotels would do this.0 -

Might be a two young blokes thing - Vegas security in general seem to be much more laid back about couples and women in twos.
(Sorry that sounds awfully sexist but just noting what I've observed in Vegas )I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole
MSE Florida wedding .....no problem0
