Might be a two young blokes thing - Vegas security in general seem to be much more laid back about couples and women in twos.

(Sorry that sounds awfully sexist but just noting what I've observed in Vegas )

no worries, unfournetly for us we aint two skinny/body builder -amazing looking guys either so that counts against us as well!!

though the only thing that may work in our favour is its just 2 of us and not a gang of us !!
counting down the days til new york and then vegas baby!!!!:D

I can see your point but when my brother and i stayed at the mgm grand(we shared a room) they asked for both our keys.
Im unsure if one key will work for a couple, but i can only speak for our experince.Like i said abouve im usnure if this is *standard practice* for every hotel, pool.
But good point about if you happen to "lose" your keys though being a worrier i d worry they d charge me !! though i agian am unsure if hotels would do this.

It's a tiny bit of plastic with a chip in it. On the miniscule chance that they charge you for it, it won't be anywhere near half the price of the whole room.

    hi
I noticed the question you asked eariler and well i thought i d throw my 2 cents in (hope you dont mind!)
I tihnk the only *issue*(if it would be one) and well my only experince is in vegas would be access to the pool.Last year my brother and i stayed at the mgm and when we went down to the pool, we were asked to show our 2 keys(we had one each)
Im not sure if other hotels do the same(in vegas anyhow) but you may have an issue there is 4 of you wanted to hit the pool and only have 2 keys.

    best of luck though

Went ahead and booked for 2, the saving was about 40% less than stating 4 guests.mim pretty sure the room time will be guaranteed, we are staying at the Venetian. I can't imagine any issues with housekeeping / check in. If the pool is policed we will 'lose' our room keys and ask for replacements. Feeling more confident about it now.
    Thanks

Have stayed at the Venetian and only showed one key when going into the pool area as a couple. In fact, there is more than one entrance to the pool area, so A & B could go in on one key, A leave to go back to the room and return to a different entrance with C...

We've stayed at the Venetian as well and we only showed one card for the two of us when we went to the pool.

Got a Ford Mustang GT rented for the duration (via specialist car hire in LA) http://www.ford.com/cars/mustang/trim/gtpremiumfastback/

Booked 3 other cars for the party via Virgin Car Hire via Alamo. Cracking prices, best we could find.

Thanks, we are staying in a Bella Suite which hopefully has a sofa bed as well as two queen beds so plenty of space for 4. What is the pool scene like at the Venetian?

Also, I've heard the parking (unless using Valet) is hard to find.

Most people tend to not pick up the free Virgin Holidays car as the insurance costs more than using ch3000 etc.
