Be grateful to know how people get on with USA car hire following this change.

We will be picking our car up 4 days into our trip so hopefully the code retrieval whilst abroad (using a 3 "Feel at Home" sim) is easy enough... if it's even needed at all!

it is just a very, very bizarre thing...completely dumb...3 days is just stupid.
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

The only place I have ever been asked for the paper counterpart is in the UK. I wont be bothering with this myself. I would take the counterpart just in case but really, do you think the Americans would bother finding out about this.
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

Halfiax Clarity users - do you usually inform them that you're going abroad? If so do you do this online or by calling them?

I always log travel on my Nationwide card. Had a mishap with this years ago and my card got stopped right after checking into a hotel in Vegas.

When you do your searches -you search for Dublin to LAS -once you have the best flight and fare for that journey you then look seperately on Ryanair for the BHX DUB flights -Just remember to allow lots of connection time.

And yes you must go lots of times to try out all the options ;)

What does DUB ATL and DUB YYZ mean?
I will also look to get a 9e flight to East Midlands like Stoneman as that's my preferred airport!
    Thanks.
