  • Collected up all our little pots of change and added to the holiday fund taking it up to about £30. Set up a Facebook page to sell my bits and bobs. All money going to overpayments :-)

    What a sweetheart
  • Sold an unused kids range/chairs on fb for £10 picked up within the hour result. No fees either. Put in the holiday fund :-)

on downside all budgets are going out of the window on this week off work have spent some extra on groceries to get set up for taking lunch in everyday next week.

Still recording all spending on the iPad app and dec was very expensive is going to make jan less!

In interests of yummyness and money saving I've made a loaf of bread currently in the oven :-) I'm going to try to make 2 a week and freeze for sarnies.
  • Checked bills account last night and underestimated cost of christmas :-( it's looking very very sad. Need to rectify that in jan :-)
  • Today had a very lovely day. Took down christmas decs and trees and put in the loft, left up twinkly lights above the fire as they are so relaxing.

Prepared the veg for a lovely Sunday lunch first thing, made enough for 2 days and we always do. It's a good ways not to waste any food (one of my pet hates), used left over fajita filling from yesterday to make a veggie pie and made another loaf and 5 bread rolls to go in the freezer. BF had pheasant that we swapped for a jar of chutney with local estate manager.

We are really lucky to live on the norfolk broads, 1 mile walk to the closest public access broad (nearest private broad is my neighbour!), took the dogs and walked the long way with sons bird spotting book. It's about a 3 mile round trip and saw mallards, coots, a family of swans some black headed gulls.

Stopped at the local pub had 2 packets of crisps, a pint of cider and 2 hot chocolates. BF complained to me it cost £10. He's really getting into being tight now! Said we would bring a flask next time! He also added £5 to the holiday fund instead of buying flowers as id been a bit poorly. I like this more than flowers!

Not feeling at all depressed about the minuscule bills account now!
  • Set up my Quidco and top cash back to pay directly in my mortgage account. I have just sent 5.50 from topcashback and 9.79 from quidco. Hope it works okay and I did a little test sending 1p from paypal which seemed to work okay so I just went for it. I will confirm as a definite overpayment when it lands in my mortgage account :-)
  • Final post if the day checked in on my funding circle (fc) £200 investment made 8/12/14 and I can report back
    1. All £200 loaned to 10 companies
    2. £0.90 lender promotional cash back in fc account.
    3. £1.12 interest accrued to date. Not guaranteed but presuming all loans/interest are paid this is how much it will be.
    4. First payment due 8/1/15
Will update signature to include this as its a bit of fun.
