I'm hoping to hit that target in November0 -
Today was good. MiniOCC had a good day in year 2, in his new class with his new teacher.
Packed up van for BF to head off to Olympia tomorrow. That's just me and the miniOCC until Wednesday. I've gotta work the weekdays but leave after lunch to pick him up. Ideally I'd like to work 10-2 daily 5 days a week. That's my aim.
On a mse front I'm waiting for the FC loans to go through and will be keeping an eye on my accounts. Money shuffle starts next week so need to double check everything is in place for that. Also need to logon and check new CC to see when the DD is going to come out. It's sort at minimum payment for the first 2 month them will up to £300 per month. It will be gone in no time although I'm tempted to safe the money into a regular saver and then pay at the end of the 0% period. Will I be disciplined enough?0 -
OCC - fancy PMing me a referral for FC? Planning on using it once our house purchase goes through :T0

I have sent you a PM.
So far I have no issues with FC I started last December and now have 15 loans running and 4 bids in too and no defaults to date. I guess that's good so far and hope it continues this way0 -
The whole FC thing does tempt me everytime i read your update on it!! I just keep saying no at the last minute though!MFW: Was: £136,000.......Now: £47,736.58......0

What's FC?2018 totals:
Savings £11,200
Mortgage Overpayments £5,5000 -
It's funding circle, peer to peer lending.
No guarentee, has risks but good returns.
I have a very small investment in it but I find the process fun0 -

As with all things finance related, diversification is key. I've transferred in £1,000 and will use autobid. Worth seeing how it compares vs. Ratesetter, which I also have a similar amount in.0 -
Totally agree I am a big advocate of diversification. I'm probably unnecessarily paranoid at having too much money with any one financial institution. It's just my nature.0

Today's not been too bad a day. BF went off to london first thing, had a few disasters along the way but just called to say he was stopping for the day (after 15 hours!) and that despite the hiccups things are going well.
I've dropped miniOCC at school, been to work, had an extremely busy day, picked up miniOCC from school. My parents had given me 3 massive bags of apples so I peeled and have stewed them to freeze. BF also picked a load of sloes that have been washed and put in the freezer. I'll pick up a couple of litres of gin tomorrow and will start the sloe gin for our Christmas eve party next week.
Our Christmas party happens on Christmas Eve and is getting to be a bit legendary. We have it 5-9pm loads of kids and parents, mulled wine, sloe gin. Buffet, music and one of the families arranges a visit from Father Christmas. It's so cute as the grandad dresses up and then there are bells being jangled too. As we live in the middle of nowhere there are no street lights so it really sounded like santos sleigh. We tied it in with the space station going over last year and all the kids totally believed that Father Christmas had crashed on our road and popped in to see us before setting off again. It was so cute.
Back to now, nothing really done on a mse front. FC still has 3 loans processing and my first £100 premium bond have been allocated. Just need to wait for the reference number to come through and I will set up a monthly standing order at the minimum of £50 for now.
In other news got a new tablet totally free, I'm doing a review for my blog. Must look for other suitable products to review that fit my blog criteria. Need to work out how amazon affiliates works so I can use it properly. Must put more time into blog as I really love doing it although did so one new post today.
My new co-op account info came through. Need to add it into the money shuffle and keep it for a few months then switch.
In other really annoying news electricity has gone up to 5 units per day, I've had to put the water heating on for last 2 days as solar hasn't heated it enough
and finally it's freeeeezing tonight and I just can't justify putting the heating on in September
