My 'emergency fund' (Premium Bonds) doubles as the 'Camper Van Fund'.

    We want this one:

It's just part of the bigger plan - but I puggle little bits so I feel I am getting somewhere.

Yes that's what I'm talking about!!!

that is a beauty, and a fantastic idea putting it into premium bonds as you might win too! great idea I will steal that when CC is gone!

Thank you, really flattered you like my idea!

If you buy from Germany direct, much MUCH cheaper - instead of £80k we are looking around £55. When you get that far, definitely worth considering.

I have my 'winnings' reinvested automatically - I have 'won' an additional £100 this year (4 x £25) and don't have much in there yet - I figure by the time I max out the £40k for me and for Mr Sea then we have enough to go shopping and equip ourselves - and of course it's all accessible (with a bit of faff) if anything goes wrong in the meantime.
  • I've stolen that idea straight away! I've applied to invest £100! It's a good place to put/forget about it. I like not to have easy access to my saved money as I'm too tempted to dip into it so this is a perfect place for the camper van fund.

Will use new co-op account for the extension fund. That will only start at about £25 per month but it's a start. Once CC is done I can up this significantly or up the OP significantly whatever I decide.

It feels really good to be having money being saved toward things we want, even smaller amounts, it really helps with the motivation for OPing.

On a negative note we let a bowling groupon run out by one day :(

On a positive note we went out to the adventure park we had season tickets to all together, brought drinks (£5ish) but took a picnic, stayed all afternoon then went to pizza express for tea with 40% off food voucher and £20 gift card we got to say sorry for the 'incident' in pizza express in Sheffield. total spends (£4.20). Total spend for the day less than £10!

Tried on all of the miniOCC's uniform and it all fits with exception of the pe trainers but he's got another black pair that still fit perfectly so they have become the school ones. School shoes brought end of last term still fit with plent of room (I brought a hit big as it was close to end of term) all polo shirts put through machine with whitener and still fit. So no additional spends on top of the £8 on some shorts from m and s. Everyone laughs at me for buying good quality school clothes but I spend far less in the end and the miniOCC always looks lovely and smart :)

Did a TT on my accounts today and I'm shocked but I still got my Halifax reward despite the mess up with the money shuffle last month. In fact the money shuffle mess up hasn't generated any charges etc so I got away with it thankfully.

Hoping to add to funding circle again this month. I noticed that they are stopping the bidding on loans soon and introducing a fixed % so that will reduce my %s a bit I think but hey ho.
  • Just looked at the figures and can afford to add £100 to funding circle now so I just went and did it!

I get paid dividends weekly and this works out as a 5 week month so should OP £500 put £100 into FC and PBonds

made an OP of about £100 to get the mortgage amount under £132k. Signature updated it now currently stands at £131999.39.

Should get a payout of a few ££ from Quidco next week too. Im going to aim for a £425 OP again this month + the FIT payment so about £625.

    S&S ISA monthly £50 added

FC £100 added £20 invested and £80 bidding on 4 loans.

PB £100 in the process of going through.

It's so up and down. Tbh it can be a bit depressing as you have no control. This has not been the greatest year. BF off to Olympia tomorrow to set up for a trade show, fingers crossed we pick up some new accounts there.
