I've received my statements today, gone through them all and have added up the charges which amount to 2285. I was just going to send off the letter to barclays and noticed the info about the test case. Can anyone advise whether it is still worth doing this now?? I'm new to this and would appreciate your comments
I am writing to Barclays myself today.
They won't pay you now, but they will register your complaint, and handle it AFTER the test case.0 -
what happens to the limitation act, if we are not allowed to claim, then as this case drags on we loose money!!! We should be in a position to initiate a claim, therefore our 6 years starts then not in 12 months time. this should be able to be done via courts or FSO. If its with the courts and the case will be stayed should we not be allowed to have the fee wavered until our individual cases go ahead.0

I too have the letter in the envelope ready to post I have however altered the date for the claim to begin.
Not sure what to do now? I am tempted to go ahead ,otherwise could we end up with the difference beween the original charge and the allowed charge?
Would appreciate your reply.SPC £500 well will try very hard.

I feel like that too, if I had the money and friends abroad I'd have gone overseas for a month or two by now.
Unjust banks, unjust councils, unjust fathers, certain workplace and non work place bullying aquaintances, floods, magnified global warming doom, illness', and a certain family members 'beyond funny' PMT at the moment. I think I'm gonna pray hard for justice ('moneysavers for justice') and dollops of mercy, and fast from chocolate. Enough is enough!
I had my court adjourn the case in June when they didn't arrange a telephone conference and that was after accepting their defence even though they were a week late after I'd pressed Judgment on the MCOL service!! My second hearing was due on 7th...

in the proces sof 4summary cause claims. One at a time as all same account.
Was paid out on thursday , for first claim. Second court case due in september, but papers still to be served.
will wait and see in next few days what is happening.0 -
I can see why new claims might be able to be put on hold till after this test case but people who have got to the stage where the bank have put in a defence on mcol, surely these cases will till have to goto court(unless an offer is given) otherwise the courts are just going to have a backlog of probably thousands of cases to deal with, I can`t see them wanting this.0

I just spoke to my bank and they said it would be at least a year before the case finishes so as someone else asked how does that effect my 6 years claim time a smost of my charges were in the first year!!0

I am in the Small Claims dispute process and I have been offered a full refund by Lloyds TSB. I accepted this on the 26/07 and of course everything hit the fan today the 27th. I have been in touch with the banks solicitors and have been informed that because I've accepted their offer this OFT court case will not affect me, and that the money they owe me will be in the bank in 2 to 3 weeks [I'll believe it when I see it]. However the bottom line would appear to be that the OFT case will not affect those people who have agreed to settle, but sadly everyone else down the line.0
