sold yarn with a net profit after shipping of $400 -
Well I'm up to £77 (3 days left) on the first item I'm selling - sadly its my car!!
(seriously I'm not actually going to count that as I have to buy a replacement! - its more a discount than money saved/earned).I think I saw you in an ice cream parlour
Drinking milk shakes, cold and long
Smiling and waving and looking so fine0 -
Another £15.16 from selling books on Amazon to declare.
Apart from books I've not sold anything else anywhere but may try to get some stuff listed on Etsy this week. Haven't used it before but a friend sells on there regularly and does quite well so will spend some time today checking it out.
Might do a table-top sale (indoor car boot sale) at a local village hall on Saturday. Never make much as not many customers but every little helps and at least it's warm in there:j0 -
Good evening :j
Another £8.10 for me after deductions please. Everyone is doing really well :T1st card to go - Aq*a - [STRIKE]£1,600[/STRIKE]/ £1,596.990 -
Well, I now have 14 items on eB@y.
I'm not convinced (m)any of them will sell, and if they all went for starting bids I'd barely clear £12. But I have some stuff I want to list that I want/need to get considerably more for, so I figured that if I put low value items up first and manage to sell (some of) those I'll hopefully get feedback to encourage others to bid on my items.
I have sold on there before, but it's years ago. The last time I listed they didn't insist you accepted Payp@l, nor include postage costs, nor charge fees on postageSo it's been quite a learning curve this week while I sort out what I need to charge for what to make sure I'm not out of pocket. Ended up having a 'chat' with someone at eBay support yesterday evening to make sure I'd understood the way postage works/gets charged right. Second time I've used support in a the last few weeks, and have to say they've been brilliant both times
(First was to get my account moved from .com to .co.uk so I could link a Nect@r card to it. I registered back in the day when there was only a .com and couldn't change it myself.)
Just been and had a quick look at my listings, and two of them have a watcherI suspect the same person on both, as it's for two different hats for the same football team (1 baseball, 1 woolly).

Found this a little late but count me in too please! I'm hoping to make £1500 by December.
Will hopefully kick start it this weekend as have sold some items subject to collection on my local Facebook selling page.

I've stopped doing auctions on eBay, pretty much. It used to be that only auctions were free to list, but now the first 20 listings are free for either. And in most categories, actual selling prices are much higher on Buy it Now.
Anyway, a few things. Doll's cot on eBay -- shipping on this is massive, hence high fees and wildly inconvenient, but my profit will be £8. On local selling group £11 for a doll's outfit, my old roll-top bin, and a decorative light. So altogether that's £19 to add to my total.Make £2023 in 2023: (all decluttering), current total £2860 me, £330 for friends & family, £468 charity donations.0 -
Finally sold some books on Amazn: £33.99 added to my total - yay!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0

Sold an old magazine rack on Facebook selling page for £2.
Potentially selling £33.50 worth of stuff tomorrow if those collecting turn up. But at least I am out of the starting blocks.

I was a little unsure whether to count this one but decided I will.
I'm an Avon rep and popped a few things I got free with other items, or I won in Avon competitions on a Avon page on facebook, (thats my rule for Avon things, no spend, and sold on Facebook) . Resulted in selling 3 Mascaras which means £7.07 added to my pot
I've added a load to ebay too, 1 got bids straight awayit's only a lip balm I got free on a magazine....
Are other people keeping this money seperate? I use online banking with Natwest so set up an online savings account just for this challengex
