Thanks everyone! He is a little sweetheart, and really good compared to the newborn monster that was Adam, who screamed from the second he was born until his second birthday! I'm pretty tired from the constant feeding, especially during the hour every night at about 3-4am when DH lies snoring beside me, and he has the cheek to complain next morning that he's tired! I've got him on near-permanent nappy duty though, since he can't help with the feeding so I can't complain too much!

Getting back into the swing of money stuff. Our finances are an absolute mess - we discovered the other day that we have to pay £4k on our mortgage this month as HSBC always took payment in arrears for the month just passed, whereas Halifax take it in advance, so we've got 2 lots of £1500 to pay plus £800 in interest for the half month in between. Not nice! Not had the bill from the estate agents yet either, which will be about £2.5k and will have to be paid on a credit card sadly. Therefore I need more than ever to try and make some extra cash, which is sadly more difficult to do with a baby to keep me occupied every minute of the day. £14 made today from surveys though, so I'm off to a start!

I haven't caught up with anyone else's diaries at all yet, as every time I try a certain tiny person starts screaming at me! Need to find the laptop charger so I can use that on the sofa during feeds. Any gossip from anyone that I've missed in the meantime?

Oh my word, panda... thats a lot of money to find. Don't have any goss for you, I'm afraid, as I was away over Easter, which was lovely, but my BiL had a stinking cold, and I've just come down with it - haven't been able to get back into as many diaries as I'd have liked even before that.

    Hugs.

Wow, it's nearly a week since I last posted - where does the time go?!

Nothing exciting in particular been happening, just the usual baby stuff and house stuff. DH is off work for a fortnight's holiday (which was originally intended to tie in with my maternity leave but that died a death!), and I'm in work 9-5 Mon-Fri, i.e. turned up at 10.30 this morning and intend on being home in time for lunch! Off to Ikea this afternoon to see if we can find any essentials in bargain corner!

Going now to try and find some of the diaries I've been missing for the past month!

Hi all! I'm really rubbish at getting anything done these days! I'd forgotton how much time gets taken up by a baby - just about all of it! And when he is asleep, I've got to try and do all the things that I'm not getting done when he's awake, like trying (and failing miserably!) to get the house in some sort of order, trying to play with Adam so he doesn't feel totally neglected, doing general stuff like washing, cleaning etc, and supposedly 'working from home' (which has been lowest of the low priority - thankfully the boss is off at the moment as well, so I can cram a load of the admin stuff he left for me in at the end, or that's the plan!).

Apart from the chaos, all's well here. Greg is 5-and-a-half weeks old now and starting to take more notice of things around him. He's still jaundiced, and we had him at the hospital the other day for blood tests to check that there's nothing serious going on but apparently he's ok, just a bit slow in clearing it! He's also got the most awful, painful dry skin rash all over his face and neck that we've been told just to put Diprobase on. Will see if it clears up and maybe go back to the Doc next week if not. Adam is doing brilliantly with all the changes, keeps saying he loves his baby brother and trying to hug him, which is a relief as we were worried he'd be jealous. He started school last week in the nursery class for 5 mornings a week and he seems to be liking that too, so all's well with the family (except me & DH who are both exhausted!).

Financially we're a mess but don't have the time to stop and sort it all out! we're doing not too bad at minimising spending but awful at keeping track of it all. The worst thing is all the take-aways as we've never got the time/energy/organisational skills to make proper meals at home, but that will hopefully just be temporary!

I'm just pondering whether it's worth us trying to go to Ikea this afternoon for the big sale day, as we've got loads of other things we should be doing, but there are a few things that we need to get and loads of stuff that we've bought previously that we could return and re-buy at the 20% discounted price! It could be worth a couple of humdred quid, but not sure we can spare the time. And it will be chaos!

Really sorry to everyone whose diaries I haven't read for over a month, I feel really ignorant. I think several times a day about all of you and wonder what's happening - I'm sure I've missed loads that I might never catch up on. Any news that anyone has, please post it here just so i can at least hear the headlines if not the full stories behind them! I'm missing the forum loads, and need to try and get my laptop working again so I can get on here while I'm feeding Gregory!

Really hope everyone's well. Better get this flippin child before he screams the whole house down - all I wanted was 10 minutes peace and quiet, obviously far too much to ask! Will try and quickly attach a couple of pics...
