Thank you for subscribing MrsR!
Today, I have:-
1. Made a lovely turkey & leek pie (half eaten and half frozen).
2. Made cream of vegetable soup with leftovers and turkey stock.
3. Subscribed to the make £1,000 challenge.
4. Paid £36.00 off my A*ua Card.
5. Checked my online banking.
I remembered all of a sudden that I hadn't paid my A*ua card. I couldn't find my statement so I registered for online banking. To my shame, I've gone over the limit (not by much!) so I paid £36.00 which is slightly more than the minimum payment (not by much!) but I need to pay another £6 in the next couple of weeks or next month's interest is going to take me over the limit again
I promise you I will never be in this situation again!
I've subscribed to the make £1,000 challenge (can't remember the title.....sorry) and have put myself down for £3,000 before the end of 2015. I have a lot of stuff to get rid of, but not that much, so I'll have to be creative :rotfl:1st card to go - Aq*a - [STRIKE]£1,600[/STRIKE]/ £1,596.990 -
Forgot to say that today I have also listed 7 items on Eb*y

Good morning!
I've just had a lovely bacon sarnie to keep me going till tonight.
DS1 and his GF are coming over later for the special meal that should have happened yesterday, DS2 and DS3 have also decided they're coming tonight now so I think there's just a touch of guilty conscience floating about.
I'm making caramelised onion and goats cheese tartlets to start with home made lasagne, chips and garlic bread followed by chocolate brownies and ice cream.
This is me trying to keep up appearances again (trying to show how well I'm doing without the ex), but since I've already bought the ingredients before my latest LBM, I'm going to go with it and enjoy my boys' company.
I'd better get dressed now, I'm still in my PJs. I need to go to the bank and I have five parcels to post before I come home and do the hoovering.
I hope everyone else has a good day x1st card to go - Aq*a - [STRIKE]£1,600[/STRIKE]/ £1,596.990 -
Do you ever get the feeling that the universe is plotting against you?
Guess who got a puncture
I'm taking one step forward and two back at the moment...grrr!
BF just gone to see someone about getting a used tyre to keep us going till we can afford a new one. As long as its safe, I don't mind.
Been to the bank and the PO. Five parcels on their way to their new owners

Another holiday day is rapidly disappearing.
We had a lovely evening last night. The food was yummy but perhaps a bit fiddly - mind you it could be that I'm just all cooked out after six days!
We watched the Muppet Movie (I know!) and had a Trivial Pursuit marathon.
It was fun, but I don't know if its just me or has anyone else noticed how offspring who've been to Uni look genuinely surprised when their parent answers questions correctly - honestly, where do they think they got their brains......d'oh!
I think I may have over stretched myself on the 2105: Make £1,000 challenge..........not a sniff of a sale today:D
We're eating at my mum's today, so all leftovers from last night have been put in the freezer. We have two goats cheese tartlets and two portions of lasagne left over.
I'm watching TV at the moment and wishing I could live in River Cottage and eat veg out of the garden every day. Try as I might though I just can't seem to grow anything very well. I told my mum last year that I was thinking of putting my name down for an allotment and she laughed so much she nearly fell off her chair
I told my son the same thing ..........same reaction!
I need to pluck up the courage to check my online banking sometime today. I'm sure all the last minute bits and bobs I bought just before Christmas should have gone out by now so I can have a proper look at what's what.
I've also dug a few more bits out to list on Eb*y and I'll try to list those today. Its quite nice to sit here quietly by myself reading diaries at the moment.1st card to go - Aq*a - [STRIKE]£1,600[/STRIKE]/ £1,596.990 -
We used to have an allotment but it got to much what with long hours in work and two hours travelling a day. So now we grow things in pots and hanging baskets in the garden and the results are really good. Had a bumper crop of tomatoes this year.

Mrs68 - my boys laugh hysterically whenever I mention trying to grow anything!
Just come home from a lovely meal at my mums. It was hard work for her as she has Parkinsons but it was absolutely delish
I checked out my internet banking this afternoon and its not looking good. I need to make an extra £100 from somewhere to see me to the end of the month. Eb*y is being really strange with me this week, one minute my stuff is selling like hotcakes and the next ....nothing!1st card to go - Aq*a - [STRIKE]£1,600[/STRIKE]/ £1,596.990 -
Just updated my total, another £10.62 to be added to my challenge - I've had another sale thank goodness..........just another £90 to go.
I've also managed to complete one survey on Toluna and been screened out of about six. Its easy to get disheartened though when you keep getting to about 40% then they chuck you out :mad:1st card to go - Aq*a - [STRIKE]£1,600[/STRIKE]/ £1,596.990 -
Every little thing you are doing is taking you in the right direction.
We had a really rubbish 2014 money wise culminating in my Husband blowing the head gasket on his car on Monday night so now on the day when I thought things were finally going to start getting better we have to start scraping enough money together to replace his car but I am taking heart from your diary and the fact that we are not the only ones struggling.
2015 will be a better year and things will improve albeit slowly but we will get there.Credit Card £[STRIKE]2332.04[/STRIKE] at 1st Jan 14 now £2089

Hi Leslamp, thank you for saying hi!
Its a very slow MSE day here today.
Just had leftovers for lunch/brunch and am sat watching Birds of a Feather re-runs:o
No special plans for today. OH is working and the boys are all off doing their own thing, can't afford to go out tonight so its going to be a quiet one.
Feeling very unmotivated today - just had my Ne*t bill.
I've just read that first bit over and it sounds really self-pitying!
I need to get my act together -this isn't going to beat me
