Because I'm bored, I just copied the OP into MS Word... It covered FOUR A4 pages and was 2239 words..

    Get out more ;)

Not really, there are plenty of decent garages and specialists out there without having to resort to ridiculous main dealer prices

Agreed, was just copying the OP's style. Couldn't keep it up for more than one sentence though ;)

OP what type of car did you take to halfords, I think I missed it in your summary.

Although I did recall it was Halfords Auto centre, Stockport

I'm just amazed anyone would pay Halfords £295 just for a service.

Quickfit have an aircon guarantee that unless they fix it with the regas then you don't pay. Had that on my car once and no charge.

Isnt the rule of thumb to go to the main dealer if you want the luxury of over paying for your servicing, or go to a substantially cheaper local independent that you know personally by recommendation. Why pay dealer price style servicing to a national chain?

    Crazy..

Try a smaller font and adjust your margins then.
