OP - lesson learnt?
Did you look for any reviews on Halfords before arranging your service?
A quick google will have warned you of these weird and incompetent practices often seen.
Have you emailed their head office etc yourself? Whatever you do, don't trust the monkeys who played with your car to do it for you.
Strangely I have had better experiences with Halfords in the past, possibly due to the fact a good friend of mine was the Depot Manager for a short while.
He isn't anymore, let's just say some of their own employees don't agree with the way they operate!Life isn't about the number of breaths we take, but the moments that take our breath away. Like choking....0 -
Stay clear of places like Halfords Auto Centre, Kwikfit, and National.0

Based on the responses to this thread, stay clear of the OP too! What if there was no such thing as a rhetorical question?0 -
You say Halfords said it needed four new tyres. I can't understand anyone being taken in by this because surely it's obvious just by looking. If it's not obvious then it's likely they are near the limit as indeed one was found to be.0

At least you now know not to take your Audi A3 2.0 FSI to halfords but instead take your Audi A3 2.0 FSI to a proper garage.0

I didn't make it to the end",i never asked you to read it ?.
Why cant some people just move along.I do it all the time.I read something see no relevance in it, and stop reading. Why do you feel the need to still make a pointless reply, to in your opinion an apparently pointless post.Do you do irony at all ?.Think about what i have just said to you carefully.
Seriously get a life.
It wasnt a pointless reply
It was suggesting that if you want to complain that you make the complaint much much shorter.
Do you drive an Audi by any chance0 -
Because I'm bored, I just copied the OP into MS Word... It covered FOUR A4 pages and was 2239 words..0

Not really, there are plenty of decent garages and specialists out there without having to resort to ridiculous main dealer prices0
