Halfords Autocentre, at best incompetent, At Worst....
I have spoken to a Ray Lee today on the telephone who is a quality control manager at Halfords.
After this conversation i have decided to delete my negative post.In my opinion, it is the right, and proper thing to do because Halfords have endeavored to rectify the problem, and i am now happy. My experience with Halfords customers services has been positive.

You thought paying £295 for a service at Halfords was ok?
Everybody that reads this board already knows not to go there.
Nevermind, now you know as well.0 -
Your tale of woe just sounds like Halfords usual modus operandi - I can't understand why anyone would want to take their car there for a service -the chain that owned those garages before Halfords took over was just as crooked and corrupt.0

Too much detail, fell asleep half way through. Most people know not to use Halfrauds, hopefully you've learnt the same lesson.0

Sounds about right for Halfords. No one should ever take a car there.0

You pay peanuts you get monkeys! Unfortunately at halfords you generally pay through the nose and still get incompetent idiots who wouldn't be worthy of cleaning the boots of a decent 2nd year apprentice. Wouldn't let them work on my mountain bike never mind my car!0

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say it's a 2.0 fsi
Quite a read, to be fair to OP, if you take your car to a big name you'd expect a decent (at least honest) service.0 -
How would broken and missing fuses cause the oil level sensor to activate? Surely it would just break the circuit.
Although Halfords aren't exactly renowned for their service0
