Parcel signed for & taken by someone else!

Please can I have some advice!
I ordered 2 tablets through Living Social for Xmas prezzies. I paid them directly and then paid £9.99 for each tablets delivery to the retailer.
The tablets have been sent via RM - I have just been to track them now and they have been signed for and delivered on 17th Nov.
RM say they will investigate, but what can I do! I need the tablets for xmas.
To make this a little more complicated, I had a message from someone I dont know on FB asking if I lived at my address. When I asked this lady if I knew her.. she has blocked me.
Could she have my parcel?
Can the police help? It is stolen after all & someone has pretended to be me in signing for it?
I really could do without this today

Go back to the retailer and ask them to check who signed for the goods and exactly where they were delivered.
The retailer should send you 2 more .0 -
And ask if they have CCTV. The police may want to see it.One important thing to remember is that when you get to the end of this sentence, you'll realise it's just my sig.0

My daughter had something very similar recently she had a right job trying to get a refund in the end I had to threaten small claims court.
You need to ask for a copy of the POD (proof of delivery) this would show who signed and when.0 -
Double check the address you gave when you ordered the items. If that is definitely your address then the retailer owes you some tablets. If you made a mistake with the address then you'll have to suck up the loss.0

I had this recently. I ordered a sandwich maker from Amazon. I was at work when it came up "delivered". I used online live help. Amazon said the company had delivered it, but agreed to check the signature and talk to delivery company.
The delivery company never replied to them. I waited 3 days then contacted Amazon again. They looked into it again and it turns out the delivery company had left it on the doorstep and hadn't got any signatures at all. They sent me another. This process took 5 days to get another sandwich maker delivered, Amazon didn't take my word for it, they had to double check with their delivery company.
Worked out in the end but like you said MrsB89 you can do without the stress.I love a bargain. Now mortgage and debt free. hurray!!:smileyhea0 -
I think things are generally crazy delivery wise right now. Last week I was expecting a parcel within 3 days delivery promise. It was shown as "delivered to customer" with a time and a date. I was in all day and had no parcel. Next morning I complained to the retailer who said they would look into it. Within minutes, my parcel was delivered. I can only assume that the delivery person had to make it look like he had delivered by a certain date. The guy who delivered it said he was having to deliver lots of parcels that his colleague should have done yesterday and that his colleague was under investigation.
On Thursday this week I was expecting another parcel through Amazon Prime. I got a text to say it had been left with Gill at No. 30. There is no Gill living there so I phoned my husband who told me that my parcel was actually sitting on our doorstep when he got home. I can honestly say that it is putting me off online ordering just now.0 -

Do you honestly think it unreasonable for a company to get confirmation from their courier over something reported by a customer? If they didn't do this, anyone could simply say that goods weren't delivered and get another item FOC.
Five days from reporting to getting a replacement isn't bad at all.0 -
So... It has come to light that RM left the parcel in a neighbours bin! No card left.. and not even my own bin!
Someone saw.. took the parcel and messaged me on FB.. Because I didnt reply straight away she has taken it to the post office... I wish she had knocked on my door :-(
So now I don't know where my parcel is... I have been online on the RM website to track the parcel. Someone has signed it using my surname and it wasn't me!
I am not sure what to do now. RM should have not left the parcel in a neighbours bin (Day before collection day too!!!)
Someone has forged my signature!!??
AND I still dont know where my parcel is.2015 Lose - 0lb/35lbGrocery Challenge 2015 - £0/£1440.00Saving for Xmas 2015 #30 £6.20 / £365 :xmassmileSB Amazon Vouchers 2015 - £100 -
Have you contacted the retailer?
If you know the parcel was taken to a post office, how come you don't know which post office?0 -
I know the retailer and the post office I presume is our local one.. However with it being the weekend neither are open....
& she took the parcel there mid week last week... will it still be there? What to the PO do with returned parcels??2015 Lose - 0lb/35lbGrocery Challenge 2015 - £0/£1440.00Saving for Xmas 2015 #30 £6.20 / £365 :xmassmileSB Amazon Vouchers 2015 - £100
