Got some unused tesco vouchers, is the hudl2 any good?
Just got one for my missus, for the grand total of £10 after using the "clubcard voucher double-value" thingyShe's very pleased with it so far, does everything she ( and the kids ! ) want it to ( playing games, listening to music, watching youtube, accessing emails, etc. ).
I've no doubt that more expensive ones will have a lot more functionality, bigger screens, etc. etc., but really for the price, and for what she wants, can't fault it so far.0 -
Nifty,
Got two of the "MD788" entries on the list on the link. Nothing suggests to me that they're not for UK use. Aren't Ipads the same the world over as to their functionality? Thought that all Apple stuff was universal? Haven't opened the boxes yet to check the power adapters. Can you see anywhere in the ad anything about coming from outside the UK?
I gather the company are Hong Kong based but the Ipads were posted in the UK via Amazon logistics (packaging) so very quick.
Aren't they within the OP's £300 budget?
The OP asked for mobile connectivity. Nothing on that website that is within the budget.
An iPad meant for the US market may not have a valid warranty for Europe.
It may not be an issue in this case, but it is something that I would check if I were buying.0 -
The warranty is valid. About the only downside would be having to buy a Type G duck head for the power adapter... or use a travel adapter.

Not necessarily. While all apple fans will harp on about the superiority of their devices, ultimately they are paying a premium for a designer brand.0 -

However your statement is no more true than if I said that all android users harp on about the superiority of their devices, ultimately it's because they can't afford an apple device.
Some people do make informed decisions, whichever they may be. I use an iPhone at the mo (after many many android devices) as I'm one of the weirdos that likes the iTunes integration and it has a few other features and apps that swung the decision for me. Cost me no more than a highish end android phone at the time and is more easily pocketable than most. To each their own.0 -

To be honest I don't hear many android users that feel the need to use the word superior. Is it just because apple users are paying more for their products that they feel they have to say they are superior to justify the fact that they have paid more for a device that pretty much does exactly the same things as a device that they can get much cheaper.0 -

I was enjoying the bickering in this thread until I read that line. Ridiculous generalisation - I own both an iPad and a Nexus tablet and personally find the Nexus miles better for my purposes.0 -
Its all about the apps, and Apple shades it for me. (I have an ipad 3 and a Nexus 7 and rarely use the nexus 7 as the ipad is a much more pleasing device to use.)0

My experiences are the complete opposite, but each to their own.."talk sense to a fool and he calls you foolish" - Euripides0
