Hi, in choosing over an iPad and android, you must first see to it on your purpose and budget for such kind. Both are good but differs in its applications. I am an android user and I usually get its apps for free while an iPad has an iOS apps.0

The advantage and the disadvantage of iOS (Apple) and Android are the same.
Android is almost infinitely customisable whereas Apple basically works out of the box.
If you want to tinker and play with settings to get it just as you like it as well as being able to up and download anything then Android is better. If you want Apple to decide how it all works, get an Apple and pay a premium for it.0 -

I have both. The no free apps for ipads is a myth.0 -
I got two of the 16GB Ipad Air tablets from here: http://www.expeditelectronics.com/shopping/apple/ipad.html?price=200-300

Nothing within your link that is suitable for the OP. Not all iPads are the same. I would want to know exactly which model is being supplied. Is it for sure one for the UK market? There is only one Mini 2 in the list....and that is not suitable to the OP's budget.
Also the cheapest Air 2 is way over budget and has only 16GB of storage.0 -

I have one paid for app on iOS and two on Android. The rest of my apps on both are free.
Plenty of free apps on both eco systems, just depends what you are after.0 -

this statement is very funny. 4 x more people buy android. are they all wrong or just don't want to pay the premium?"The Holy Writ of Gloucester Rugby Club demands: first, that the forwards shall win the ball; second, that the forwards shall keep the ball; and third, the backs shall buy the beer." - Doug Ibbotson0 -

Nifty,
Got two of the "MD788" entries on the list on the link. Nothing suggests to me that they're not for UK use. Aren't Ipads the same the world over as to their functionality? Thought that all Apple stuff was universal? Haven't opened the boxes yet to check the power adapters. Can you see anywhere in the ad anything about coming from outside the UK?
I gather the company are Hong Kong based but the Ipads were posted in the UK via Amazon logistics (packaging) so very quick.
Aren't they within the OP's £300 budget?In deep...0 -

Me too! The iPad was fine before the last big update, now mine is a pain - lots of lag, apps open slowly etc. The last update, supposedly to solve the problems on iPad 2 did improve things a little, but not completely. Even after restoring everything from scratch, I'm not impressed! The Samsung Tab S is wonderful - £30 off online from Currys/PCWorld plus £50 cashback from Samsung.0
