Thinking of getting a tablet, what is the best one to go for?
Would want it to have a sim card slot to access internet when out.

I'd probably need more info to give suggestions:
What would you use it for?
Personal use/business/both?
How would you carry it? Is size a factor?
Are you already in one of the 'eco systems' with your phone?
What can you afford?
Is it important to you to have the latest and greatest or would you be happy a generation behind?

Do you need a removable sd card .0

I got a Galaxy Tab S 10.5, very good/fast/slick and expandable storage via SDXC slot. But I like android.
I also got a Galaxy TabPRO 10.1, 1 generation behind. Was £80 cheaper (deal on at Currys last week) and is still very good.
I think iPad is good but is much more expensive.
Usually a personal choice. Good luck. Check the reviews!
However, you said you want one with a SIM card slot. You pay a fair premium for this. You may prefer to tether a connection from your phone as that's already paid for (maybe, if you have one, I've no idea).
You can connect to O2 wifi hotspots all over the place which is useful and free.
Personaly if I need to access internet when out n about I use my phone for the same reason as above! No need to pay twice I reckoned.

Hope this helpsI'd probably need more info to give suggestions:
What would you use it for?
Watching tv programmes on sky+ or films when in car
Personal use/business/both?
Personal
How would you carry it? Is size a factor?
In a back pack
Are you already in one of the 'eco systems' with your phone?
Have an iPhone but dont really use the 'cloud'
What can you afford?
cheaper the better, but up to £300, a bit more if worth it
Is it important to you to have the latest and greatest or would you be happy a generation behind?

do you want to use (pay for) apps from apple , or would you be happy with free ones from android play store?0

If you want an iPad with a SIM card and budget is £300 roughly then you are looking at the original iPad Mini. The current one is iPad Mini 3. For £40 more you can get an iPad Mini 2. However it would be 16gb and in my opinion that's too small.
If you want to watch films then IMHO I would prefer a full size iPad. In which case I would look at eBay for a second hand one from a reputable seller.
You can bring the cost down by not having a SIM card. Could you do without? I find the mobile signal even around the Home Counties can be quite flakey - not sure I want to be using iPlayer or streaming movies via cellular.
None of the iPads have memory card slots.
I don't know anything about Android so someone else will have to help with that!

You'd probably be best off with an iPad; Android isn't a very good OS so you wouldn't want to be lumped with it.0

SD card slots on Android .
As android is an os not a make it will depend upon the make and model . Most if not all the Samsung's have an SD Card slot .16GB on an IPad is really not big enough .
My first question when buying a tablet is always screen size relative to what use i will put the tablet to .
Video TV Movies etc ten inch best .
Next is how much you want to spend .0 -
