Amazon Black Friday scam

You're saying Amazon are advertising a sale using a made-up number (your words) & simultaneously trying to claim it's not a scam
Even you know your argument is nonsense, you just can't bear to admit it.
So what are Amazon supposed to show for the RRP? Are they supposed to ignore what the manufacturer have quoted?
You do seem to be the only one struggling to understand this. But I guess in yours eyes everyone else is wrong. I guess we're all trying to 'SCAM' you!!0 -
Repeating a lie is no different than inventing one.
If someone told me a lie & I told you, knowing full well it was a lie, you wouldn't think the original person had lied to you would you? you'd think I had. And you'd be correct.
Let's revisit what we're talking about: Amazon are selling stuff that's not reduced by a penny & calling it a 55% reduction. They are doing this because they know full well there will be people who go to Amazon on Black Friday, expecting great deals. Those people will see "55% reduction" & they will purchase on that basis. Both you and I know this is true. And we both know that's a scam.
For it not to be a scam, Amazon would have needed to include the item without a sign saying "55% off" but with a sign saying "slightly higher price than you could have bought it for last week". Do you think they'd have sold as many that way?0 -
No it's not a scam. No one else on this thread thinks it's a scam. Only you think it's a scam. We're not going to persuade you that it's not a scam and you're certainly not going to persuade us that it is a scam.
So let's just agree that you think it's a scam and everyone else thinks it's something that's been happening for years, is not illegal and will continue to happen unless some sort of legislation says otherwise.
There... job done!0 -
I don't think it's a scam. It IS a scam. Just the same as 2+2 = 4. It's not an opinion.
A small handful of people telling me they think 2+2 = 5 & then congratulating themselves on how they all think the same thing won't change my mind or the facts.0 -

It's good that this thread stayed front page all through black friday though, & will have alerted a fair few people about this scam0

Every little counts
It's important to expose scams.
Please keep responding & doing your bit to keep this thread in full view.0 -
Yep, shame that so many people were taken in. However still worth highlighing the scam so that others might not. Keep up the good work0
