Hiya folks and welcome to all the new potters for the coming year :hello:

I have had a lovely potter about day doing odd bits of things, tidying up everywhere and a general pick-up and put away. Have put up all our lovely cards from friends and neighbours and it looks quite festive.

Didn't spend anything today so no change and will pot £1 in my pot in a minute.

Hope you all having a good week

  • Thank You Everyone....You're right....My Grandad isn't very well and that's why we went to a less-posh place like the Harvester....so my Grandma is probably just frightened for my Grandad and she took it out on me....I have spoken to Grandma and Mum since and they were both fine with me...so I think it will be fine....

32b....Today was supposed to be "the day" for my minor Procedure...however, I am still bleeding heavily and they can't do it....I spoke to the Colposcopy Nurse (the most helpful person I have spoken with so far!!) who said that she was NOT at all concerned about it being something life-threatening...she thinks that the problem is due to some scarring from another Procedure that I had done last Year....and she is more concerned about the constant bleeding but thinks that is probably hormonal....Anyway...the upshot is that they are going to do a Procedure under General Anaestetic (spelling LoL) next Year...they are going to do a few things and might also put a Mirena Coil in to stop or slow down the bleeding.

So I feel okay about that I think...at least the Nurse is sure it's nothing life-threatening...so I can relax now and hopefully enjoy my Christmas....

Yesterday was ABSOLUTELY manic.....left the Flat just after 5.30am....then didn't get home until about 10pm last night....almost fell into bed and have only been up an hour this morning....but I've got to start all over again although the next few Days are MUCH easier...

I Potted a fiver last night as I have over-budgeted for Food this Week....I don't need as much as I have got....so thought I would just go ahead and Pot the fiver... :D

Right...must go grab a Shower...."see" you all later on xXx :)
  • Have just been clearing out some books and I found some money I had stashed in an envelope! So €3 into my pot, and I haven't spent a penny today!

Heading to collect the bird and ham later and any last minute veg and that's me done! Pretty happy about that!

Ear infection has gone down and I have a check up with the ENT later so should get the all clear!

    Have a great day everyone!!

Hi there, Potters! I hope you're all managing to keep your heads and gradually get everything done and dusted before the event! More great potting still goes on even though Christmas is now so very close. Stay tuned to saving all, it has great rewards! :xmassmile

Hello again, Loveactually, I hope you and DH will have a wonderful Christmas with your little darling, baby's 1t is a really magical time! :A
What does everyone do about notes, do you put them in the same pot or somewhere else?

Mrs Cheshire, I put all my notes in a chicken that I have, it opens by means of a panel at the bottom, held on with 4 screws, so it's really easy to get out. Why not try one of the £1land tins, at least being able to cut them open with a tin opener they're safe!

Didn't we ever do well, Ruby!! Who knows what next year will bring us!! :j See you after Christmas, for my greetings please see below.

I'm so pleased that you're better off than you first thought, little_sweetie, isn't it great when it's that way rather than rather than worse off!! :D

How about vouchers to save hurting people's feelings, Ruth?! It might help you out and leave loved ones happier.

    Good saving, Chutney!

How about locking second pringles tube safely away from temptation, engineer amy? Good luck with the 2nd and don't hold back with the cursing - in a nice way! :rotfl:

Lovely to know your DD's so much better, jakes-mum! :A

Many thanks for the lovely greetings, Lynsey, mine for you ALL are below. Enjoy it all thoroughly!

Tonight me and my niece went to Asda to finish off the last of the Christmas food shopping. The car park was packed. I took my sisters shopping up to her and the traffic was terrible. I was sitting in the car and it occurred to me that actually I should just stop moaning, at least I am alive. Those poor people in Glasgow today, went out to do a bit of shopping and won't be going home tonight. What have I got to moan about really.

So much sadness at Glasgow again, 32b3, sadly it helps the rest of us put things in perspective, a shame it takes something so tragic, but....! To all our Glaswegian members, condolences to you all. Even if you've (hopefully) not lost a loved one, none of us can help being touched when such tragedies are so close.

I hope the legs don't give you too much trouble, Hicksy. :)

Enjoy the festive feel of it all, Lynne, it sounds lovely. Our DGKiddies are loving the window/indoor lights, DD, SIL...even DH & I too! ;)

You've done really well with your £4 savings, ETO, marvellous work!!

I'm so thrilled to know things have sorted themselves, Helen, though I do hope your dear GD soon gets well for your Gran's sake. What a relief to have the thoughts of the Nurse, bless her! :D I hope things soon slow down for you and you really enjoy things.

I am sooooo chuffed to hear your ear's responded and much better again, tatabubbly. My DH's 'hoovering out' ENT appt is just after Christmas, good luck with yours!

    Well done, mcjordi!

£10 in the pot after shopping! That's about all the shopping done now, what a relief especially when the turkey dinner is all sorted out then everything else gradually comes together. One man in front of us paid £70 for a goose!!!!!!!

A very Merry Christmas, All Potters
And best wishes for a safe, healthy and Happy New Year!!! :xmastree:

    Hi there,

I'm a bit late doing this I know but can I join the challenge please? I don't have a target but anything helps. I embarrass my son by picking up roadkill so at least I'll have a place to put it when I pick it up from the pavement! :)

    Cheers.
