Hi Ruth, not entirely sure what you meant re the notes and your friend, but so long as you do that's all that counts. I know what you mean about the roadkill though, to be honest I haven't opened mine for at last 4 - 5 years, but I know there are at least 2 x £5ers in it, just waiting for the right year to open it, but can't bring myself to yet. Daft I know, but.....!
Happy belated Birthday to that wonderful husband of yours Sue. I know how much you love family time so i'm sure the meal out was very enjoyable.
Basically, a friend changes my SPC coinage for notes but had to open the pot a little early to warn him of the total so he can make sure he has the right amount to give me. It's not complicated i'm just rubbish at explaining.
It also means that i don't have to worry about having the correct denominations
I'm still saving though, right to the very end. I just wanted to get the bulk of it out of the way.
£1.16 into the pot this weekend.
I'm so excited. Wednesday will be my first ever payday as an employee as i am no longer self employed. It will only be for 2 weeks work but i'm still looking forward to getting that first payslipSealed Pot Challenge member #071 VSP #4

Very many thanks for the lovely welcome on, Modesty, you've just earned yourself another gold star :staradmin Love to your DH and I hope he's starting to feel quite chipper about his recovery, you too!
A very Good Morning to all, Potters! I hope everyone had a great weekend...and still kept saving well. If not....Ah, don't worry, I for one know it's not always easy to do so, but whenever possible - don't hold back!!
Never felt the urge to chuck some coins in the pot more than this weekend, I haven't been out today so haven't spent any money, but is like the final few metres of a race you get a second wind and you are desperate to get to the finish line....
Never try to resist those urges, Westie, well, unless they're vulgar ones! :rotfl: If they are then...not on the thread please!
All the best in getting what you need with all your savings, findingmyfeet, you too sound barely able to contain yourself, and why should you. :j Keep on saving!32b3in2013 wrote: »I got my dollars on Friday and I am packed, so I ready to go now. I am a bit impatient!!
£1.90 potted today.

YOU impatient, 32b3?! Never!! :rotfl: I'm so pleased you've got the $$$$s at the ready, yourself too. Have an absolutely fantastic time, and......keep an eye out for roadkill as sparky usually gets quite a bit over there so why not you!
Yes, I recall when you first joined us, TheDapster, you said you'd been saving all year so hopefully you'll get a fair sum from it, I do hope so. Away for a weekend with 50 students??!! (turns to the others and whispers....by eck she's brave...or bonkers!!! :rotfl:). I hope you had a great time and manage to get some rest now. Keep saving whatever you do.
You're doing well, stormpassing, consistent too so keep up the wonderful work! :jSaver-upper wrote:On a roll......
I don't normally work on weekends,but I did today,as a favour.Because it was extra work,am going to pot the £22 I earnt.:j
Brilliant work in more ways than one, Saver-upper!!!!!! :T It's so good to know you seized the chance and potted it, that's the way to save cash!!
<<" These next few days are going to go so slowly!">>
I understand what you mean, Frogletina, but leave time to revel in the excitement of it all during that time too. It keeps me buzzing whenever I think of it. :j I'm glad you've done so well with your budget.
Thanks so much for your lovely words about my beloved, Ruth; he gave a wry grin and said "how does she know I'm wonderful?!"Ah, I understand what you mean about your friend and the notes now; you're right, you're rubbish at explaining! :rotfl: Only joking with you cause I know I can. BTW, I'll be thinking of you on Wednesday, it must make a huge difference to you after only having been self employed. My DH did it the other way round after many years and found he preferred being employed as at least you can rely on a specific amount each week, holidays too! Keep the saving up Ruth!
You're all saving brilliantly, everyone!! I'm truly chuffed to bits for you ALL. Keep it up until the end, though I think most of you would find it hard not to anyway! In which case carry on as you were so to speak. I've got a little shopping to do later so hopefully more cash to pot!!!
Have a good Monday, SPCers, and remember.......there are only 10  saving days to go!!!

OMG! Is it that time of the year already. I haven't been posting to this thread for some time now, but have been potting throughout. Just little amounts as I rarely have any cash in hand. I have some blue rewards money lying around in the account. I will soon give my final amount.
I need to get the next pot ready soon. Oh it is exciting. I didn't realise I could save so much money randomly potting.SPC 08 - #452 - £415

Excellent potting Sue. I will be sure to keep an eye open for road change. Hopefully I will be able to spot it under all my shopping bags
£4.90 potted today.
I suppose the new pottings should be on the next thread, maybe I'll sopen the new pot next week and give the money to my nephew to buy my sister a Christmas present. The eldest three are old enough to buy their own presents for their mum, but the youngest two are not. Hmmm, what to do??
