Can I join for the next round please? I've been saving off and on in a sealed pot since about March, but want to join in properly and will leave what's in there already as a nice little starter!

I haven't potted anything today as I haven't yet spent anything either.

Happy belated Birthday to that wonderful husband of yours Sue. I know how much you love family time so i'm sure the meal out was very enjoyable.

Basically, a friend changes my SPC coinage for notes but had to open the pot a little early to warn him of the total so he can make sure he has the right amount to give me. It's not complicated i'm just rubbish at explaining.

It also means that i don't have to worry about having the correct denominations

I'm still saving though, right to the very end. I just wanted to get the bulk of it out of the way.

£1.16 into the pot this weekend.

I'm so excited. Wednesday will be my first ever payday as an employee as i am no longer self employed. It will only be for 2 weeks work but i'm still looking forward to getting that first payslip

Thanks so much for your lovely words about my beloved, Ruth; he gave a wry grin and said "how does she know I'm wonderful?!" Ah, I understand what you mean about your friend and the notes now; you're right, you're rubbish at explaining! :rotfl: Only joking with you cause I know I can. BTW, I'll be thinking of you on Wednesday, it must make a huge difference to you after only having been self employed. My DH did it the other way round after many years and found he preferred being employed as at least you can rely on a specific amount each week, holidays too! Keep the saving up Ruth!

You're all saving brilliantly, everyone!! I'm truly chuffed to bits for you ALL. Keep it up until the end, though I think most of you would find it hard not to anyway! In which case carry on as you were so to speak. I've got a little shopping to do later so hopefully more cash to pot!!!

We will be opening our pots on the 5th November - so you can join in now and either open then and restart on the 6th or just carry over your savings to next year.


Sue will pass along and give you a number, which is yours for ever and you put it on your signature. Please read the first post for all the info about this thread and good luck with the savings

OMG! Is it that time of the year already. I haven't been posting to this thread for some time now, but have been potting throughout. Just little amounts as I rarely have any cash in hand. I have some blue rewards money lying around in the account. I will soon give my final amount.

I need to get the next pot ready soon. Oh it is exciting. I didn't realise I could save so much money randomly potting.

mugwump79 - as Lynne has told you, if you've already been saving then you're most welcome to open your pot with us on the 5th Nov. However, if you're just starting off then you don't need to wait to begin, you start saving just as soon as you like...and get a head start!! :j

Post shopping for me and......£14 in the pot, and am I ever chuffed as DH had only reckoned on £10!!! :rotfl: He'll learn...and we did save £4 by not doing the Lottery on Saturday, it's potted now! Surely he really didn't think HE would end up with it?!! :eek: One of these days, my lovely man. :kisses3:

Excellent potting Sue. I will be sure to keep an eye open for road change. Hopefully I will be able to spot it under all my shopping bags

£4.90 potted today.

I suppose the new pottings should be on the next thread, maybe I'll sopen the new pot next week and give the money to my nephew to buy my sister a Christmas present. The eldest three are old enough to buy their own presents for their mum, but the youngest two are not. Hmmm, what to do??

Im away with my 12 brownies this weekend, not as many as 50 but will feel like when I get home...
