Thanks Jakes-Mum...that made me laugh!!
But I'm afraid I can't take antihistamines as they react badly with some other Medication that I'm on....It's doing better except that I have probably irritated it tonight by crying...
32b...have a WONDERFUL Holiday....where are you off to?
Had an almighty shock tonight to do with my Flat...it's making me feel unsafe and frightened and horrible and scared and a little bit sick....But it will be fine....It's not life and death and there are people out there in MUCH worse positions than mine....
I managed to Pot 80p earlier on....
I'm still standing....one day I will walk....eventually I'll run... xXx0 -

I'm still potting away and so far have banked a massive £585..........yippee!!!
Also wanted to let you all know that WE ARE GOING TO BE DEBT FREE 3 years early due to a bit of a windfall that I have received, very unexpectedly. The money will clear all our debt bar our mortgage, but I can live with that!!! Am looking forward to our fresh start and am determined to stay in control of our finances so that we NEVER end up in debt again.
Happy, happy, happy!!

Hello again all Super Potters! So sorry not to have been here for well over a week, but it's been a time where things have either gone wrong or have been delayed which has put us all behind. We were supposed to have moved over to SSE for our broadband the week after our holiday, that was delayed so much and didn't happen until yesterday! Not to worry though as it'll save us £20 per month...and we all know where that will end up!!! :j Then a week ago I accidentally knocked my laptop off the table, it landed on the left corner of the back of it breaking the hinge and part of the casing which left the monitor and keyboard only held together by the electric wires!!! £75 later and we finally got it back yesterday, looking great! Another calamity was us going for a family walk last Saturday with our Lab & DD's Retriever; the 2 play together beautifully but always charge about like mad things and we need to keep out of their way - not that time though!! The 2 charged straight into the back of our DD who was taken completely unawares, by heck did she ever fall badly with all her weight going down onto the left ankle. She's thankfully slowly getting better but we'll need to be careful in future.
Anyway, enough about us, I hope you are all well, but for those who aren't take these {{{Hugs}}} in the hope that you'll soon be feeling much better or that life gets better for you.crimson.addict wrote: »Don't you go anywhere Mrs!!!! We all love you too much to see you gone!!!
When my brother stole money from my mums purse and continued to do it she called the police!! He never did it again!! You may think that sounds harsh but the lesson is do whatever works.
Sue, this is your thread, are you allowed to ban people from leaving? :rotfl::rotfl:
Yep, you're right, Ruth, she's banned from going and that's that! Well done your Mum for giving your Bro a short sharp shock which obviously did the trick. :T
Poor you, jakes-mum, I was so very sad to hear your DS has again taken money from your pot, and what an amount too!! I know how bitterly disappointed you were last year and you must be doubly so the 2nd time around. It must be so very hard for you and DH as you're then torn between what to do in the future. However, as leaving SPC really isn't an option  (such talk!) as we just can't allow that! Each of us plays a part in cementing our SPC family and you've been here just about as long as I have, so NO, we can't allow that!!My DH agrees with you and reckons either having a metal box and securing it, or building a wooden one and securely fixing it to the wall is about all you can do to stop him taking from you again. Punishments are difficult as sometimes they then feel "hard done by" (rich but) and it makes them rebel more! Given his age, why not agree he needs to get a part time job and repay you before actually earning for himself? To my mind, that way they get more chance to reflect on what they've done and to realise just how much they've hurt you as it'll take a while until the "debt" is repaid. I bet talk of involving the Police really shook him to realise the enormity of it all. Don't give up on him though, he'll no doubt be a totally different lad when he's older and wonder however he could have acted in such a way.
Special {{{hugs}}} to you, now trust your DH to sort the 'pot' out. :happyhear BTW, you spoke about your DS suffering a lot with his eyes and them bulging out, our DS was exactly the same. It started with his right eye running terribly then swelling right out of the socket!! Our Dr said conjunctivitis - eejit!! It wouldn't get better so we took him to A&E who got us to the consultant a bit sharp. He said it was all due to a virus and was leaving a scar on the eye each time it happened, they could ease it with drops, but the virus itself couldn't be treated. He still suffers now and has to have laser treatment as he's losing so much vision due to the scars.
Your eye sounds nasty too, Helen, so how are things now? I really do hope you're not still suffering, but if you are - see your Dr! I hope whatever it was that frightened you so much in your flat is now ok, you too. Look after yourself Helen!
Oh, your poor Hubby, Modesty, and what a shock for you all! I really hope he soon recovers and takes real care of himself from here on. Thank Heaven your DD was soon over to you, bless her. Best not let that strippers Idea from jakes-mum go ahead, I'd be inclined to think like you as to the possible results - and that CAN'T be let to happen!!You both look after yourselves.
NO !! NO !!
It's only SEPTEMBER !! Much too early for the *C* talk
I haven't even been on my holibobs yet.
Then there's Hallowe'en, Guy Fawkes and THE OPENING OF THE POTS and that's only the beginning of November. :rotfl:

Ooooh lucky you living by the sea, Lynne! :j I have to admit to being envious of all those who are able to as it must be wonderful, even in rough weather as it's so exhilarating. Fancy folk using that C word again before your hols, disgraceful! Not long now!Nice work with the banking.
I know you're already on your holiday, 32b3, but I want so much to wish you a wonderful time which is much deserved. See you Thursday! Great ideas re jakes-mum btw.Evening all. Hi Sue!!

Hello there, Emily!! It's so good to see you back again, and to see how much you've already banked!! However, it's WONDERFUL to learn your almost incredible news!!!!!!!!! :T:j After all the years you've been in the family, I think we can all know just how excited you both are and how determined you are to stick to your pledge NEVER to be in debt again!!! Congratulations to you both!!!
Great saving as ever, Kerry, you do so well, your Mum too by the sounds of it, good for her!
Lovely to see your face again, mossy, how's life treating you and the family? Keep up that great saving.
Lovely to see you appear again to, Vicky, gone for too long though!
I see you peeking too, getting-there-slowly, it's great to know still remain saving conscious, but please don't worry too much that you might not have saved as much as last year. If memory serves me correctly (how could it not) then you worry about that most years, but so long as you save as well as you can and as much as you can then why worry about it? The MOST important thing is - that you do your very best - and that being the case...you can be so very happy with whatever you end up with...as you couldn't have done better! See how it goes in November and think about it between now and then and ask yourself "Could I do better?" If the answer's yes, then budget better for next year so you can save more. If you couldn't do it any differently then simply be very happy and proud with what you do save as it's money hard-saved and you have every right to be delighted with what you achieve! Look ahead, G-T-S...you're doing brilliantly so be proud, any never be influenced with the savings of others! We all have different circumstances and jobs, wages, out-goings etc which makes a huge difference, you be happy with YOU! BTW, did you ever save before SPC? If not, then look how remarkably well you're doing now!!! :T
£18 saved for me this week and all the pots are feeling so heavy now!
That's it for now then, folks, you're ALL saving so very well, keep on battling to save as much as it possible in the next couple of months. Time soon flies so stick to your budgets and pot what's left and look ahead to the 5th! :dance:Have a lovely Sunday, folks, and enjoy yourselves!
Sue x
NB: SPC Savers: 5th November will be the new 2015 opening date!
