DH went for a drink with DGS last night and brought home 76p and a bag of jelly babies. The 76p has been potted along with 5p roadkill = 81p.
The sweets are laying in wait to be enjoyed at my leisure. :D

Welcome to any new potters I may have missed.

    Hugs to all.

A very good afternoon, all SPCers! Not my fault I'm so late, blame 2 of the Grandkiddies who came round and caused havoc - one 19! :A I hope you're all very well and still smiling no matter what the jet stream chucks at us! Not to worry, keep on potting those pennies and pounds and there will be great grins come November 5th!! Look after yourselves all, especially those who aren't so well right now or are simply in need of some {{{hugs}}} you have them and I hope you're soon feeling fine.

Welcome back Sue :j Sounds like you had a fab holiday. I've not been around much but still potting away and losing weight :D - 1 stone lost so far and about another 1 stone left to lose. It's always more difficult to lose the last few pounds but I'm stepping up the exercise and swimming twice a week now on top of walking more during the week.

Oh we had a smashing time thanks, Dragon Lily, I see you have too with losing that weight which is a fantastic!!!! I know it gets harder as you start to get closer, but you need to, if possible, up the exercise to push it off. That way you'll be getting fitter and fitter and building up the endorphins just in case you reach a plateau. I wish you all you wish for yourself, DL, you'll get there!!

Thank you for those lovely words, Lynne, I really do appreciate them. It did us all a power of good, DD included. The same applies to you with when you go away on your hols as you've had a really rough trot with that ankle. Enjoy the looking forward, Lynne! :j I'm not bit surprised at your 1 day sitting in the son, when it's been sunny it's been a hellish wind that's enough to have you holding on to your seat!! I just love your closing sentence, and yes, I've acted on it with my beloved.

Oooh, I just love Monster Mash, Helen, not one of those you can keep still too along with Lady Gaga and Poker Face - love it!!! :j

Thanks a lot, Lynsey, I'm really thrilled with knowing it's tucked safely away. Well done with the saving and good luck at Morries, Asda and wherever!

Thanks to you also, 32b3, we were determined to be a little careful and try and hang on to it, still spent plenty anyway - bot how can you not on holiday...and with kiddies, bless em. Don't worry, you weren't alone yesterday, it absolutely p***led down all day here too, then last night by heck was it blowing a houlie and chucking it down - British weather!! :( Good luck in filling that pot as much as possible.

    Lovely to see you, Hope.

If a lot of your work has been voluntary, Kerry, then you've still done so well to be banking another £65, well done you! Don't blame you for putting the breaks on a bit now though.

Haha, it could only be you that has "naughty trips", jakes-mum, though I am partial to a few chips now and again! Not long before you're on Pot 2..or 3.

Good morning, not visited for a while so thought I would drop in. Im still potting daily and my first tin is almost full so have bought another £1 tin, im saving for spends for when we next go to Florida (hopefully 2017) I will be opening my tin on November open day and will be changing into notes then popping the notes into new pot when new potting year starts, have a lovely sunday everyone.

Ah, there you are, cattysmum, good to see you and see how well you're potting. All the best with your Florida holiday dream, I really hope it becomes a reality for you. :grinheart
Noticed I'd filled up another pot today so opened it £105 so that's holiday spending money as I have almost finished Christmas shopping. New pot started with £2.50.

Excellent potting, Daddybear!! :T I see you've got all your savings on your siggy, so don't forget to include the lot when you declare on Nov 5th!

You rant by all means, Modesty, as council house or not, , they should be responsible for what needs to be done for tenants, especially when it comes to trees that need felling danger wise. I have to admit our local Housing Association is spot on when it comes to things needing doing. You're right...they are some bleepers!! Ah, I see now the pic is of Justin Hayward and I'll take your word for your mug shot scaring the kids!!! Never...can't be the case! So nice for your DH and DGS to go for a drink together - even better your DH brought back some pot money and sweeties! :j

Doesn't anyone else think it would nice for everyone on here to share a photo of themselves? So we can put faces to names??

Don't waste time be annoyed with yourself, Ruth, pull the proverbial finger out and - get on with it!!!!! :naughty: I see your point about putting pics of ourselves on our avatars, so let's see what folk think. Well People what d'you reckon????? Bet I know the answer with most though. If everyone else does then I will for sure. :D

    Good going, Ben!!

Oh dear, Hicksy, still looking on the bright side, there's no better place for it!! ;)

Another £10er into the pot after shopping! :j

Have a lovely Wednesday, folks, and keep saving as much as you can!

    Sue x

Sometimes you have to have a naughty trip somewhere :rotfl:

Ooo how many pots do I have?! weeeeeeeeeeell thats a secret ;) i'll tell you all on opening day :D I need alot of encouragement next year as DH and I have decided we are taking the kids to Orlando in 2017 so all 2016 pot money will be to pay toward the trip and 2017 pot will be for spending money so I must pot diligently! (hoping to sneak some of this years into a saving envelope as well but :shhh: don't tell DH. It all came about as I decided I needed a bucket list (and then forced DH to write one too) and on both our lists was to visit Disneyland so we figured we would go after DS finishes his GCSE's as DD will still be young enough for it to be special for her.

Just had a totally unproductive evening after one of my neighbours kids decided to set fire to their garden and I got sidetracked by all the firemen :o (and im not ashamed to say I did wake my DD so she could see the big fire engine in the street :D)

Anyway a £2 coin in the tin after taking the kids to get school shoes and DD trainers (£112!!!:eek:) I wish these kids would stop growing! and my mum found 10p roadkill at A*di and gave it to me for my pot :D

    Very true Sue-UU

Little one keeps looking at my pot so I helped him pop in a nice £2 coin for me this morning (found in a coat - sadly no notes in there)!

Not sure why it was hilarious though ha ha! Bless him!

    Have potted £7.50.

Sue - The voluntary work expenses was for several months. I am still doing temp work when there is some. Doing less voluntary work will mean I can do more of what I want to achieve.

Hope everyone has a great Bank Holiday weekend.
