    Evening

I have potted around £1 over the past couple of days.

I did literally wring my hair out Sue, when I got home, I lifted my hair up (it's long) and it looked like it was still raining as the water was running off of it  the weather was particularly bad that day :)

Can't wait until opening day :j

    Morning Everyone :)

Well I just had a rotten scary horrible dream... :( BUT...I know it was only a dream and it can't hurt me now that I'm awake....Just have to move forwards and try and forget about it or learn from it if it was trying to tell me something....

I Potted lots of lovely money last night...I think it was £7.40...I DO know there were 7 (yes 7) £1 coins!! :D:D:D

I'm really thrilled with this....My Potting over the last couple of Weeks has been building momentum and I'm really excited by this.... :D

*Hugs* to anyone that needs them....and I hope you're all sleeping peacefully right now....And hope to "see" you all later on xXx :)

Sue - Many thanks for your best wishes. Am hoping to move in 5 years time, but have to wait and see. I have to achieve a few things to get there. My sister also lives in the same area as I and found out yesterday that she and her family also wish to move out of the area within the next few years. Also has a few things to achieve before they get to where they want to be.

Hugs to those in need of them.

Well done on potting the walking to work savings - any chance you could do it more often and gradually save a small fortune?!

That is how I managed to become debt free the last time! I walked every day, every journey. Well, that and other bits and bobs of savings here and there. The problem is that I can't always walk that far now. I have had another two operations since I paid that debt off in 2011 so I can only walk on a good (health) day. The thing that completely scuppers it is that I start a new job on Monday and it is twice the distance away from home (about 4 miles) and even on a good health day my health is not enough that I could walk 4 miles! It's not all bad though, I'm going to be working with a much larger team which I really think will be better for my mental health :D

Just a couple of coppers in the bottom of my purse which I will pot later. I'm hanging on to the rest of my change for now :)

I'd love to drop a day at work Sue - he can go nursery 2 days a week, 2 days with grandparents and three days with me. But I was moved o a different company when I whilst on maternity leave and I don't want them to use it as an excuse to demote me (as i would mean a £6,000 drop in wages). I was considering reducing my days by an hour or two so that I get valuable time with him each day. I d don't know it's all a mess.

I think I will go, see what it's like and if they continue to be unreasonable towards me then I will leave.

I completed a new CV last night - which I'm tweaking as LO naps.

Ah, I see what you mean, hicksy, so best to play it all by ear then and see how they treat you. Good luck with it, and good to hear your little treasure's with his Grandparents for a couple of days, I bet they'll love that!! :D:D

I don't remember you putting a picture on, jakes-mum, though I may have been a bit too busy to notice due to taking declarations from members. Not to worry. It certainly sounds as though she's really chuffed with it - well done you! :T Good luck with all the other crafty bits you have in mind, please let us know how they go. Great news about having needed to begin another pot, no worries about it sounding empty, just listen to those "ring tones" change is it goes up..and up..and.....! :j

£2.45 potted today! :) Feel like I'm going to achieve my target! Also, £50 put into my '£1000 emergency fund'. Feeling good :D

Excellent Evo, you really sound as though you're out to save and save well!!! :j Stick with it...though with a name like Evo(stick) you'd have a job not to!!! :rotfl:

I see you're back quite a bit more now, Ben, it's lovely to see and know you're saving well!

Evening all and another rainy day here - well drizzled almost all day after rain throughout the night!!
Positives?? Saves me filling the bird-bath and the garden looks lovely.

How about baby hickles No. 2?? Baby hickles 2016.
Hit them again with maternity pay. :D
    Just a thought.

    Lynsey

Oooooh you naughty girl, Lynsey, that's an awful thing to suggest :eek:Food for thought eh, hicksy!! ;) Look out for the possibility of even more flippin rain again next week Lynsey IF we get that lot from Florida along with the ruddy Jet Stream!! :(

Good saving, Dragon Lily, that's a heck of a lot saved....so far!!!! It's a real joy to hear how thrilled you are that you're doing so well. :grinheart

I know you're doing so very well, Helen, you're turning yourself into someone who's really determined, you'll get there!! BTW, I wouldn't even bother trying to analyse dreams, Helen, they're far too complex or at least mine are. I hate nightmares, but then I hate the times when I dream it's Christmas/Birthday and there are lots of presents......then nothing! :( Each hour/day the dreams get a little more distant, so again, think of all the lovely things in life and focus on those instead. This is surely set to be your best year for saving don't you think? Whatever, you're doing marvellously!

Ooooh brilliant news about the £10er found, scotmumof3!!! :j

Oh my word, 32b3, I thought you were exaggerating a bit, but if you've that much hair - well....I'd stay indoors til it passed over!!!!! :rotfl: Great potting and November will be here soon enough, if it went too fast you wouldn't have chance to save so much!

So much to look ahead to eh, Kerry! :D It may not be for 5 years, but that'll give you the time to achieve the things necessary. It's amazing how fast that time will go and meanwhile you'll have time to make all sorts of plans...and to dream of the future you want/need. Same applies to your Sister and her family.

I understand your meaning, GAP, but the way I see it now is, not only could your mental health improve due to the new job, but IF and whenever you were able to walk half (or some of) the journey and catch the bus/train for the rest or vice versa - again it would help you both physically and mentally! A win win situation, all the very best for Monday. :)

£10 in the pot after shopping + a £2 coin that DH gave me out of his CP change!!

Have a great Wednesday, everyone! Keep making those pots tinkle!

Unfortunately, the bus fare is the same, regardless of the distance of travel so I wouldn't save any money but, yes, you are absolutely right, it would help both physically and mentally to walk some of the distance :) and thank you.

However I am the opposite....I hate how diesels drive, no power, no power, no power, then it comes in 1 hit and is out of puff. Change gears and repeat. New ones are better, but still nothing on a petrol engine in my opinion.

I've always had GTI's or similar so they have plenty of power for me.

If your buyer doesn't leave feedback, paypal will hold your money for 90 days (she thinks as its been a loooooong time since she was an ebay newbie), once you have a 'selling record' (rolls eyes) of 25 sales (or £165 since first sale which is rubbish as you could just sell one high value item and get your money so hows that a selling record?!?) then your money is released immediately.

I didn't know that. I'm terrible, i very rarely remember to leave feedback!! I must start making myself from now on!!

£4.50 into the port from me. I went to the cinema last night and had a 2 for 1 meerkat movies code so went halves on a ticket with my niece :)

I rarely go to the cinema so if anyone is going on a tuesday or wednesday drop me a PM and i'll give you my code if i haven't used it.

    Hi Everyone

Still potting away! 4 x 50p (£2.00) today. Thanks SueUU for the comments on my saving for the year. I've always found it hard to save so joining a challenge helps a lot. Can't wait to see how much I've potted in my tin in Nov and add it to my savings :D
